Best away end since covid imo
It’s a close call and I don’t do every away these days but from my own experience I think Leicester away when Bernardo scored in a 1-0 win in September 2021 just about edged yesterday. It genuinely was non-stop all afternoon that day, whereas yesterday had a quiet spell in the second half.

But it’s no coincidence that both games were at Leicester. It’s the best ground in the league for getting an atmosphere going. I probably try 10 times harder at home games to get an atmosphere going than I had to yesterday and that’s in SS1 Block 115 where plenty do join in but all too often the sound doesn’t travel beyond more than a few blocks. Yesterday I was starting songs off and literally within 2-3 seconds the whole away end were at it. Of course, it helps that there were so many like-minded fans prepared to join in but the single tier design of the whole stadium makes it conducive to getting an atmosphere going. As good as we were yesterday, for that reason it surprises me a little that a lot of Leicester fans think we’re the best away fans at their ground as surely other fanbases are equally loud when they go there? Or maybe not?

I’ll be seriously gutted if Leicester go down as it's the best away day of the lot for me.

Mate, working and living in Leicester like I do, to a man they all say the same thing.

No-one comes close to our lot. Noise, songbook, sense of humour, they are in awe of it. Even Forest, in their local Derby, don't get anywhere near us.

There's also respect, which stems from when they won the league and dicked us at the Etihad. On leaving, all they got from Blues was hand shakes and best wishes, not shit.

We're not a bad bunch our lot, despite the shite on the interwebthingy we get from trolls. Match going supporters give us the credit we deserve.

Were you on the second from back row?

Wasn’t there at the weekend, but personally best away end I’ve been in since Covid was Arsenal in the treble season! What a night that was, the limbs when Jack scored! One of the best away ends I’ve ever been in.

Anyone who knows anything about English football knows this is what it's about. You can stick your fabricated consumer-oriented matchday revenue increases where the sun don't shine.
Message to Khaldoon -:

The Sheikh has stated that our fans are the most important and constant factor at the club.

You have wisely endorsed his statement, as have Pep & the players.

However, someone at the club has created a situation whereby we have never felt so marginalised and alianated.

So many have stopped attending games and many more are at a tipping point.

With respect, clear and decisive leadership must come from you NOW before the vey core of the club is damaged beyond repair.

You are the most trusted executive at City, please now become a Mancunian City fan and rectify the unacceptable situation regarding ticket prices, memberships and conditions.

Btw....you will always be welcome in SSL3 or in an away end.

Happy New Year & Marahaba.

Have the singers next to the away fans , make it all season ticket holders not day trippers in Safe standing
You have to admit that there’s a lot of season ticket holders in South Stand lower, who are there to be part of a singing section, but can’t actually be arsed to sing - atmosphere tourists.

The noise doesn’t travel well either from lower tier, so for me the more singers in upper tiers the better. Whatever happens, we need to have noise coming from both ends of the ground, something we don’t have now - that in itself would be a game changer.

It can’t be long until we hear more details about the plans for next season, as once announced, it will need time for fans to consider options, work through logistics like relocations etc.

There's the problem, City aren't releasing details but hinting to fans to move to New stand.

I was in that away end at Leicester but I also want a decent view of the game. You just don’t get that in the lower tier.

I love my view and I'm on row 1 in 115, Leicester I was about 10 rows up. Absolutely brilliant away end. Need keep it going, hopefully plastic free again for Brentford and Ipswich
