It was so bent, week in week out; they wouldn't have been half as successful as they were under the pissed up bully if their games had been refereed fairly. The complete lack of self awareness their nobhead fans have when they call us cheats..
u see this all the time with both the rags and the dippers and more recently arsenal, they are that used to getting dodgy decisions that when a game is reffed fairly they think the ref is bias against them, not bad decisions just correct decisions

They knew, the players & the fans know. The players joke about it & Hughes said it when he was on the end of it in our dug out. Their fans sang we do what we want.
ive said that before , how often have you seen an opposition manager say well you dont get those decisions at the swamp or klanfield and its just laughed at like a big joke, where it should be a source of shame for pgmol and the pl that fairness is thrown out the window for certain teams.

It’s corruption pure & simple.

Worst game I've ever seen in my entire life for corruption was Arsenal away at the Rags, Bent as fuck.

About 3 or 4 blatant red cards not given, Penalty for nothing for the Rags...Complete shit show.
Correct, pretty certain that ended the invicibles run.
What's even more laughable is bent Riley went on to be the head of PGMOL.

He did indeed go on to become the head of PGMOL and that did end the invincible run, Crazy.

Take your pick of Camel Gob being last man chopping down Ljungberg, Rat Boy butchering Reyes on numerous occasions or Horseface sticking his studs into Ashey Cole knee with the linesman about two yards away...Not to mention Granny Shagger with his massive dive.

It's hilarious how people carry on with the whole "Manchester City won their trophies by cheating"...Yet they complete ignore games like this which happened many a time in Rags games in the past under Ferguson and go on like they've won what they've won fair and square.

Spot on. We have our own complaints about refs but that match was the most bent refereeing display in PL history for me. As much as some of our fans have an issue with Arsenal, they were fucked over good and proper that day and that **** Riley didn't even attempt to hide it. Along with Ferguson manipulating refs on an almost weekly basis for decades, it was literally cheating in plain sight.

You're not allowed to criticise a Knight of the Realm, greatest manager of all time at the biggest club in the world!
Happy New Year fellow Blue Mooners, let's hope these self entitled
numpties suffer even more in 25!

This January transfer window is going to be very interesting. After the inevitable pumping at Anfield, INEOS will be twitching to get a striker in. Problem is, they have the cash to go big, but they can't do it through the club accounts, because it is a total shitshow. So bad that they are making cut-backs in every dept.

So do they stick or twist? Spend the money to improve results, and deal with the PSR consequences, or drum up a fire sale to get someone in via the correct channels.

One thing is clear, they cannot do nothing and watch their investment teeter on the verge of relegation.

A fire sale? who they gonna sell? theres no point in selling the family silver when its made out of tin foil

There’s a thread on red cafe advocating they breach PSR to get new bodies in on the basis the points penalty will be next year

Not everyone is up for it, with one genius suggesting that they’ll have enough to beat the drop this year and then give interim “a billion” to spend in the summer to build his own team…….

I doubt they have got the cash to go big.

As as their year-end in June, they had used £30m of a £300m revolving credit facility (i.e. a large overdraft). As at September, they'd borrowed another £200m, presumably from that remaining £270m.

We'll find out when they publish their next quarterly accounts around mid-to-late Feb but I suspect they'll have dipped into it further in the quarter to December.

This is great information. I am shocked the large sports media outlets haven’t reported this in detail-said no one. It’s a disgrace!!

If we take off our blue tinted specs for a moment, is there anyone in that squad that another club would want ?
Ignore wages, on ability alone, no top club would touch them.
Lower placed teams might take a punt on the likes if Hojuland (sp) if the price was low enough but seriously, their squad is dire.
Their so called best player is Fernandez, that says it all.

Well, they do have the cash, although not necessarily in the places where they need it to be for PSR.

Although, there are still a few more cards that INEOS could play. They could purchase more shares and use the cash from this. If full ownership is still the goal. They would have to convince the Glazers that this investment for shares is vital for their nest egg to survive. Relegation would be a disaster for the Glazers.

Alternatively, the sceptic in me also thinks that running them into the ground gives them leverage for a cut-price buy out.

There is also an option to sell off land at Trafford Wharf, as there is already lots of interest from developers.

In their current predicament, it is hard to see them sit still and watch the ship sink.

Sancho to Chelsea is a guaranteed 25m and his wages were 10m per season, so 35m there.
AC Milan had agreed a 30m transfer for Zirkzee in the summer, so they could potentially do something there.
Napoli in for Rashford could be possible, as Conte seems to have a blindspot for "could have beens" from the PL.
Casemiro to Saudi
Antony loan.

Berada could also move some pieces around in the academy to generate the cash.

Although, his selling of Cole Palmer, Morgan Rogers and Lavia were mooted as great deals at the time, but eventually turned out to be mistakes.
