I actually came back on to delete the post because I have no actual reason to base it on whichbwas wrong. Just a personal feeling which I shouldn't base things on.

I'm really unsure of the clubs trajectory right now. We've never bought elite players at the very too possibly until Haaland. Most of our buys were on their way to the top when we bought them. Yaya, Silva x 2, Mahrez, KDB, and others were all damn good players.

After winning everything I thought maybe it would elevate us into another league and add further real quality alongside Haaland. Hopefully he is a player on his way to the very top I just think it's a very hard league to prove yourself in and especially in a team that is fighting for every trophy.

I do know one player we have turned down, the player wanted to come hes already playing and proven in this league and we said no. I can't name him and yes this is one of those lwhy bother saying anything then. Which until now I haven't because the deal was the Summer just gone and I'd have taken him instantly.

I just wonder are a lot of clubs shopping around at players bubbling under hoping to find the next hidden gem. There's a hell of a lot of players been brought the the Premiership that have disappeared just as quickly.

Well I clicked and read the full Graeme Bailey article.

It says no deal is done. Both Frankfurt and the player denied about a winter move. But it is still worth watching if any firm bid comes in this month. Anything will be north of 60m pounds. Then it goes long about the influence of Mo Salah on the player and how much Liverpool wants him.

My gut feeling is that either Graeme Bailey is writing BS or Marmoush is using City to get move to pool. 60M pounds sounds more credible than 50M euros previously picked up by medias. Personally I cannot believe Frankfurt wants to sell for such a low price.

Ok so general vibe, I get it. Recent transfers have hardly blown the doors off: Philips and Nunes have underwhelmed, Gvardiol and Doku have started struggling this season although I think they'll both come good.

Looking at Marmoush highlights I have a question mark as his goals all come in transition, a rarity for City, and the German defences look very open. His movement reminds me of Savinho.

Possibly having another high energy pressing winger means we can move Phil or Bernardo inside more often.

Grealish has really failed to step up and become the leader he should be unfortunately. I don't see a place for him anymore if we sign another attacking midfielder and he's already behind Doku in the pecking order. He should be in his prime right now.

Can guarantee Graeme Bailey isn't writing BS, very well connected. If he's posting something then he's 100% heard something. Things can obviously change and move quickly in the football world though.
