The information I read in various reports and understood, was that City had discussed with the player and his agent and they both liked the project presented by City and the player had decided it is only City he is interested in.

There was information that Eintracht are happy with a 50m fee. I can’t remember if that is pounds or euros, it was early hours of morning.

In one of these reports it went further and said the deal would be in the summer so that Marmoush can help Eintracht finish in European places. It didn’t confirm if we buy now and loan or if gentleman’s agreement for summer with player and club promising deal will be done in summer.
 
Just seen that Marmoush played at St. Pauli, didn't we have a bit of a love-in with them back in the day, might have been a King of the Kippax thing?
 
I don’t think it’s that risky. He got 12 goals and 6 assists in the league last year, so he’s on a clear trajectory. Not out of nowhere. There aren’t many players of this level around that you can actually buy

Must be my old bean playing tricks on me, I have a dim and distant memory of a relationship based on the fact that St. Pauli were the City of Hamburg's 'other' team.

Still, it's sent me down a King of the Kippax' rabbit hole, there's some nice stuff on YouTube....see you at kick off time.

The first report I picked up was the psgtalk one which @johnny crossan posted on p38.

Ibrahim Fayek (football presenter, athlete ) is said to be the one who had released the news in Egypt and I assume the rest in Egypt followed perhaps because this person is maybe the Egyptian equivalent of Fabrizio Romano. The Egyptian press seem adamant. One report in Arabic even went as far as saying he is in Manchester, which could mean has signed, which another report claimed he had. I didn’t post these as there are many and they are in Arabic. I am just summarising.

Florian Plettenburg in Germany has quashed the rumours as you have read no doubt on here already.
