same with that footballfancast site.As a general rule, everything that the "analysts" at The Athletic say is stupid and wrong.
Pretty sure most clubs will already be exploiting AI for this. Bloom doesn’t have some magic algorithm he keeps to himself. It’s doable..since I’m fairly sure it’s not a scouting team per-se that Bloom relies on but his infamous algorithm based approach in scouting players.
Although last thing he would do is sell his algorithm, so City really should be looking at the future and at least explore creating an in-house or outsourced solution perhaps to even work alongside their scouting based model.
As people have been telling us for yrs who knows when Sheik Mansour will eventually get bored of us lot ;-)
In recent years their big sales have been Caicedo, Macallister, White, Cucurella and Trossard i doubt any of the buying clubs would regret those deals.Sounds like this is the usual Brighton tactic of generating interest and a massive fee for a player who is no better than decent.
Have any of Brighton’s players sold for unrealistic, exorbitant fees gone on to excel or even perform as expected?
You may be right. In recent years their big sales have been Caicedo, Macallister, White, Cucurella and Trossard i doubt any of the buying clubs would regret those deals.
I would start all 5 in our current team personally. You may be right.
My point was more about value for money. Despite going for huge fees I don’t think that any one of those players are more than decent. I would argue that even in our current plight none of those players would improve our team and probably wouldn’t get much if any game time if we had a fully fit squad.
The two at chelsea are considered their 2nd and 3rd best players behind Palmer, they've both had great seasons. How many of these Brighton lads that are sold end up being worth the money?
The two lads at Chelsea aren’t great, and they were bought for a lot of money!!
Trossard is a second string player.
the only question City`s director of football should be asking is. Is he as good as Phillips, our only DM when Rodri is out.Baleba had a good game yesterday against Arsenal, He made a difference when he came on against us a few months ago.
Watching Brighton midfield yesterday along with Newcastle midfield at Tottenham you can see the press from their midfield all going together and all with very little distance between the midfield players when they do press.
At the minute watching other teams midfield that has legs to cover ground looks great as it's the complete opposite to what we are watching at City in recent months unfortunately.
I'm not sure Baleba is at the level we need to compete for the big prizes, He's a good player but most midfield players are looking good right now because they can actually run.
Cucurella is a seriously good player, Still think he would have been a cracking player at City had he joined. The two at chelsea are considered their 2nd and 3rd best players behind Palmer, they've both had great seasons.
I can see Caicedo is 2nd ratings wise, behind Palmer for this season. The ratings take into account everything - passing, tacking stats etc.The two at chelsea are considered their 2nd and 3rd best players behind Palmer, they've both had great seasons.
I'd rather go off fans opinion than stats personally.I can see Caicedo is 2nd ratings wise, behind Palmer for this season. The ratings take into account everything - passing, tacking stats etc.
The sideshow Bob fella is 19th on the list of best Chelsea players this season. Both £170m in total…
Cool. Fans views can be biased. I loved Jamie Pollock even though he was crap - that’s why I prefer to use statsI'd rather go off fans opinion than stats personally.
The only signing we should be getting from Brighton are their scouting team, they are best in class.
