First week back after new year so transfer meeting planned for early next week if everyone can make it
What improvements? We've got the results but the performances havent inproved, Pep's basically admitted that. We have simply played some of the poorest opposition in the league and had individuals pull us through those games. The massive problems were still on display for all to see and as soon as the opposition gets tougher, they'll be back to ruthlessly exploiting us with minimal effort. Relying on having a fully fit and in form squad is exactly the reason why we are out of a title race before Christmas. But every game has had little improvements and we are unbeaten, We had to stop the losing streak and that mental block we are going to lose again, The Better teams will get more respect in our midfield and Pep will play both Gundogan and Kovacic and one of the wide players will be dropped,
We get Dias and Stones back and maybe Grealish then the possibility of Bobb coming back you never know
Think thats one, also think the players they want to replace weren’t leaving last summer, another was I’m not sure the players they want to replace players like KDB maybe were available last summer. BernardoGoing to take a guess the club thought Pep was going to leave and that we had more than enough to get through this season. So then the money could be used on a new manager and director next summer. To build a team in that managers ideas
Hence why it beggars belief that we knew this was the situation after the treble season, but after failing to move Kalvin on, & the Paqueta move falling through, we paid £50m for the distinctly average Matheus Nunes. None of this makes sense. We don't want servicable, we want a player or players we can rebuild for the next 5 years around, we may well get somebody, but it's also quite possible we decide to wait until we can get the players we want. Playing CM in a Pep team is a very specialised position ,not all midfielders are capable. The ones that are just might not be available this month or be hard to negotiate.
There’s another new one…
I wish I had your optimism but I struggle to see it mateBut every game has had little improvements and we are unbeaten, We had to stop the losing streak and that mental block we are going to lose again, The Better teams will get more respect in our midfield and Pep will play both Gundogan and Kovacic and one of the wide players will be dropped,

Two wins off 40 points that we'll pick up somewhere no need to panicBlue_Lightsaber said:
We have no midfield, we have no press, we have no defense, we have no one who can find Haaland regularly outside of KDB, Nunes & Savinho and we have enough to get top 4??
Would you get that by trusting the same bunch that have 2 wins in 13 and allowed West Ham to almost get 5 goals vs us??
Need atleast 2 midfielders, a CB & a RB to be able to press and have legs in midfield.
Do you think we can solve all our problems in this transfer window ??
look it's never going to happen in this winter transfer window and we are not in the title race anyway.
Maybe we could sign somebody on loan to patch up the squad and maybe help but it's never going to be a full rebuild
How do you know ?Day 6 and we haven’t even got a verbal agreement for a player.
Douglas Luiz on loan reeks of 115.
January is difficult. Teams won't sell . Made harder now that the CL group stage doesn't end until the end of the month unlike before .Douglas Luiz on loan reeks of 115.
Bobb is still doing individual training . Yet to join the team on grass. When is Bobb back? I think he will fix a lot of our problems. A front three tearing up the pitch and not giving the opposition any breathing room will make everything a lot better. It stops the opposition finding easy passes, stops our players having to cover so much ground and means we can dominate the ball again. The intensity of the press is miles off. Unless that changes we aren't going to improve. Another central midfielder would be a huge boost, but so would buying a little aggressive terrier like we had in Alvarez, who just ran and ran all game long to press the opposition.
