i dont think so, hes more likely to play on the right with sav on the left, pull foden, bernie, kdb back into the midfield to bolster it, if kev drops back a little while the tackling might not be there at least we might retain a little bit of control

Think he takes Kevs role.

Hopefully he doesn’t turn out like other eintracht Frankfurt strikers who had great season in Germany and did fuck all leaving Germany
He isn't really a striker is the thing.

He is more of the vain of Salah in terms that he can play through the centre with a partner, but most definitely would drift wide for his winger qualities.

I agree with the other poster that said he will likely be the heir to KdB's role behind the striker.

Second.

a player who excels on the left or thorough the middle - joins a club to play as a RW? Why don’t we go for a RW then instead ? He will most likely play behind Haaland or we switch to a 3-5-2.
i dont disgree with you, but savinho is just starting to excel on that left hand side and unless he plays in behind haaland instead of phil then hes destined for the right

He plays instead of Phil and Kev his goals are from the middle most of them. His assists all 7 are from behind the striker through balls the ones Haaland would love to run in on similar to the way Savinho did against West Ham. He has the making of looking at his stats and heat map to be a very good number ten.

I'm hoping we go for alex baena to help to fill that huge hole when kdb goes to pastures new

Doesnt mean much but has the highest whoscored rating in europe so far this season(Above Kane, Salah and Yamal)
Think he'll play the Alvarez role, so wherever needed across the front and even as an 8. But will be more suited than Julian to being moved about.

I’ve never sat down and watched him play 90 mins, but based on the hype around him, and the stats (admittedly only over the last 18 months or so)…. is £50m not an insanely reasonable fee?? For a versatile forward that scores and assists? Unless we’re all over-hyping him, at that price (if true), I’d suspect this gets done quite quickly.

This could be bargain but also it could happen like what happened to belotti. Quoted big price for 1 great season and then it was downward from there. We have to hope everything is taken care off scouting wise otherwise £50m for purple patch could be another costly deal

I really like the look of him too, maybe in the summer when the clear out happens.

He is also kind of like a LW or LAM behind the striker (but more of a playmaker with passing rather than Marmoush who would operate more as a goalscorer).

Some people may think Baena is unecessary as we now have too many players for the left wing or left half space.

I disagree a little, I think Grealish is likely being phased out, Nunes, Doku and Bobb could easily be the RW options.

We are clearly going to need to future plan without KdB and Bernie, leaving our options for LW and the two spots behind the striker as Savio, Baena, Marmoush, and Foden.

I think that's very good and not too much depth.

I was all over the Kalvin train and drooling over the nostalgia of a Gundo return so my buying and or peddling hype days are over.

Not been following the thread, what's the general consensus, is Marmoush the right pedigree of player we should be looking at? Stats wise over his career it's not that impressive
1 decent season and currently in the midst of a breakout season at 25.

Its a bit of a risk. But its one worth it at 50 mil. Thats what we paid for Nunes who had zero production prior...
Does this guy know anything?

But a lot of smoke is good
Doesn't sound like it. Claims about what a club has told a player are generally always just made up shit.

I suspect Viana has been involved or asked about this, and he has a good track record.
