My Dad

All the best to you Ric. One of the magical things about football is the bonds it can create and there's no more special one than father/son.

10 years for me with the loss of my dad, same as you Ric with my dad took me to city 1970 never looked back, the memories are a great comfort to me never a day goes by that I don't think and chuckle, I know very well it's part of life loosing your parents but just to have one last chat.

Our dad’s knew didn’t they introducing us to the mighty blues? I vividly remember asking my dad who we supported. Part of his reasoning were United fans were horrible. Well he said that they caused a lot of trouble back then.

Your dad sounds a great guy. Sorry for your loss.

So sorry to hear about the loss of your dad Ric. He sounds like he was such a lovely man. Loss of a dad cuts very deep, time passing does eventually help, but my words will feel empty to you at this present time.

Dementia is such a cruel disease, person is there in body but the spirit and essence of them has gone.

We were just so fortunate with all our oldies that they lived long ( all 89+) and contented lives, and whilst their bodies became frail they each still had active minds and were still able to have proper conversations with us and offer their sagely advice. We miss them, but like us, you will have such good memories of your dad.

Remember meeting him at MMU back in the day. "Kind, warm-hearted man with a sharp intellect and wry sense of humour" is a great way to describe him. All the old school workers there had the utmost respect for him and he was very well liked by everyone who worked there

Very sorry to read this, I lost my dad very suddenly when I was 21, I'm 65 next week and I have missed him every day since. My condolences to you and your wider family
