PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Take your time.

I'm not saying this has ever been a sticking point to me. My phone is made via slave labor and I probably buy a shit ton of stuff that's tied to some type of international evil as well, but im not going to claim the UAE is some glorious haven of democracy just because one of their higher-ups bankrolled us winning the Champions League.
Maybe your research into this should require a bit more than glancing at a wiki page Champ

Very poor phrasing from Kieran there. Owners putting money in isn't in itself fraud. That would make King Power, and other sponsors related to a club's owners, fraudsters. He is also well aware that the allegation of our owners putting in money via the Etihad sponsorship was demolished at CAS.

That undid the good work he did in saying it was only 3 charges.
He despises us, Col.

Like the rest of that studio he’s got everything crossed that we get the book thrown at us.

of course he does, he like alot of people realises that we are his meal ticket, this is just self preservation for alot of people, they realise that once we are cleared a large portion of their career and their income is finished.

To be fair he does not say what he thinks will be the most likely outcome.

Excuse me for being a bit clueless, but does City’s settlement with UEFA in 2014 or the CAS decision have any impact on what the Premier League can accuse City of?

How about a different headline for a change,

‘If found innocent Manchester City could pursue the Premier League and any associated parties for suffering repetitional damage through their persistent and malicious claims.’
I dont understand why no journalist has not gone close to ask this question what happenes if City win ? They must know that it is hard for PL to proof this case , but everyone seem so sure that City are guilty .

And rightly so considering that most of our accusers have never attempted to offer or present an alternative opinion regarding our culpability suggested by the charges brought by the PL against the club.

The media are not interested in balance or accuracy of course, when it is much easier to go with the flow and support the click bait narrative.

while i dont condone it, it is understandable albeit lazy, media is click driven now, if you say what they want to here they will keep on using you as it makes you money tell the truth and you are out on your ear, do you think keiran maguire is the most qualified or the only football finance expert out there, is he hell, hes the easiest bought and the most pliable and thats why he keeps getting invited back.

Non of them did it when CAS happened and they ended up looking like a right bunch of numpties on that sunny day in July 2020. You think they would learn and hedge their bets, unfortunately writing doomsday articles to get rags and dippers clicking and spinning their loads gets traction. Positive articles about City unfortunately don’t.

I support the team on the pitch.

If we're found guilty, then it's whatever and ill move forward with it. You still have to go out and win those games. United have proved high expenditure only gets you so far.
Absolutely. This is what I found so offensive about the post you were replying to. Support is not a question of legality but of loyalty. Like many on here my grandfather supported City, my father was brought up a City supporter, my mother and all her brothers were, I was brought up a City supporter and my children and grandchildren are all City supporters. My father, I and my four children all remember the Swales era and the disasters of the '80s and '90s still slogged on loyally. My father died weeks after the relegation of '96 but he and I could at least share the successes of the '50s, 60s and '70s. Even if things go against us none of us will ever forget what our owners have done for our club and us since 2008 and we'll still support City. Support is a life long affair, not a matter of calculation, of which club can get away with the most. And we'll always be grateful to our managers, all three who have won trophies, but especially Pep.

But I'm sure Lord Pannick has already shown that City don't need to break their ridiculous rules to triumph - again and again.

Not disputed but it is a sad indictment regarding the total lack of integrity demonstrated by these supposedly impartial commentators.

I don’t get this mate.

Let’s say we are guilty - that is on the owners. CITY was here long before them and will be here long after they’re gone. They are custodians.

If we’re found guilty and are really bang to rights, I personally won’t support the board anymore but I could never stop supporting CITY.

Fair point

But i don't agree with that in the workplace

I stopped the clip at that very point .

It's a very serious and complex set of allegations that is very difficult to dumb down to a Scholes /Carragher level, tbf. He told them what they wanted to hear and if he didn't they would edit the soundbites to make it sound like he did.

Too many second-rate analysts trying too hard to make a career for themselves on the back of all this. It does my head in and, I'll say it again, the best analysis of the situation anyone will find anywhere is on here. I would strongly recommend anyone not to put themselves through the rest of the drivel. There is nothing of value there.

And when anything does happen or in the unlikely event anyone says anything relevant, the best analysis of it will be on here anyway.

Completely different parties and jurisdictions, so no.

I think :)
Thx mate. So the PL doesn’t need to care about the UEFA settlement or the CAS decision and can accuse us of the same things UEFA accused us of?! Fucked up.
