That’s not the right narrative and you’re not keeping up with the level experts on football podcasts or the all knowing journalists.

IF we spend in January, it’s because we KNOW we are guilty and will definitely be getting a transfer ban and every incoming player will have a ‘relegation release clause’.

IF we DON’T spend in January, it’s because we know we are guilty and will definitely be getting relegated, and no-one will sign for us anyway.

It’s ever so easy, this expert lark…..

Have a look around our city and see what the owner's done with rundown derelict land, making a world class sports campus, redevelopment of the stadium, paying rent so that the council will always get income, numerous housing developments, infrastructure, it's not terrible is it?

Accounting irregularities from before FFP? The only way it makes sense to charge us is if it's at the instigation of the cabal of clubs who would like to carve up English football for entirely their own benefit, aided and abetted by a governance structure that has it's CEO picked for it by said cabal!

We've always been bought up as believing in the law and due process, one of the oldest legal principles being the assumption of innocence until proven guilty. Not for MCFC, but let's hope this house of cards is exposed as corrupt and solely run for the entitled and dishonest.

Hopefully Twixi will get some more bangers in to bolster the squad as Lord Pannick leads the blue haired team of lawyers to a climactic victory!

I remember when we had one. The November handicap was the last big race of the flat season. One year, it was so foggy that nobody could see the runners. Peter o’Sullivan was reputed to have made up the commentary and subtly worked it round in the final furlong as the runners became visible so that he called the result correctly.
Castle Irwell closed in 1963.

Great post.. the difference is stark between our owner's positive actions and other clubs' owners with their history of self-centred, self-aggrandising actions.

As 'BlueMoonRisin' put it, love your description of Swales.. reminded me of John Lennon's 'Gimme Some Truth' from the 'Imagine' album.. he could've used that description (as in 'No pubic haired, Cuban heeled son of Tricky Dicky's gonna Mother Hubbard soft-soap me/ For just a pocketful of soap/ Money for rope, money for dope' and so on..)

And along with you and every other Blue on here, I look forward to Lord Pannick's 'blue rinsed team of heroes' (Lennon could've used that one too!) earning a great victory for the club and us all and actually revealing the truth of what's been going on since 2008..!

Life isn’t a rehearsal- get out on your bike, then enjoy several beautiful pints of Moretti.
And if the weather is shite - forget the bike and enjoy the Moretti.

Haha, it’s not a rehearsal pal, but I don’t think 9 days off will do me any harm! Bike a bit risky at the mo, even for me, so it’s a bit of swimming, parkrun Saturday morning, then Arthur Guinness pre match Saturday :-)
