To be fair, as much as I don’t rate Nunes, you are right about one thing. There’s absolutely no excuse that he didn’t get minutes in place of Gundo, it’s actually impossible to have been worse.

He got injured of late, otherwise he'd be starting.

Alan Varela at Porto has a release clause and is very good. Baleba, Lamine Camara and Biscof would be brilliant options as well, but are more 8/6s than outright DMs like Rodri. Can deputize as DMs on the short term and play alongside Rodri when he returns

Baleba is the dream, but there is no way Brighton sells mid-season, given they're fighting for top four like us.

I like Kovacic, quality player but we need more pace and legs in that MF ideally.

But these type of players are needed in the squad for when the injuries and suspensions come
Constantly playing players out of position catches up with you

;-) If we are happy to be seemingly spending bigger numbers than expected on so called lesser targets then the DM required for us has to be top level? That fee can be say 65m upfront with add ons to 80m?
