alright. As I said if we’re looking at players with loads of potential, we have players in the academy like Doyle and Pusey. Why not invest in them. If your looking at other players in that mould, I would honestly re-sign Bellis, who has buy back clause and for me will end up being an England centre back.

If your looking at premier league proven, but with lots of potential. I’d look at Guehi or Brainthwaite who would make an instant impact.

This guy could be amazing and I don’t know enough about him to really judge him, but I just think there are other options.
Harwood Bellis? Far too slow.

You could have just said this mate.

At the end of the day, city spend millions on recruitment and employ one of the greatest managers ever. If they have come to the conclusion this lad is the best choice then that is what we will do.
I agree. I trust pep and the recruitment team. I just think there could be other options. Our last few transfers haven’t been great either

To be fair I’d bet the vast majority of city fans have never heard of this guy. So I’m comparing other more well known players

HERE WE GO IS COMING!

Man City started working on deal for Khusanov before end of 2024 with one mission to Lens also included for direct meeting.

Pep Guardiola approved Khusanov as immediate signing. Total green light.

Here we go, coming soon.

Delighted that we are going after someone so young, but at the same time has had a decent level of first team football.

His physicality and pace (hopefully along with the other signings) will be a very welcome addition to the squad, in addition to his good stats in other aspects of his play.

Will be great to see our overall physicality get back up to the levels we need.

I’m thinking this lad will be played, initially, as a right back. He looks very aggressive in the tackle and has a decent turn of pace. From what I’ve seen (admittedly only on You Tube) he seems a bit last ditch, which is why I think we’ll play him at right back until he learns his trade a little under Pep. On the plus side, as a natural centre half playing RB it may allow us to play 3 at the back with either Ake or Gvardiol at LB thus allowing an additional player to play in midfield.

Good shout.
