West Ham 2024/25

The results were poor but that does not excuse the disgraceful treatment of Lopetegui. So typical of West Ham's board. They have barely tried to hide the fact they were talking to Potter. Poor really. I didn't like it when it happened with Hughes either, but our current owners were new to football. Brady, Sullivan and co certainly aren't.

So should they sack a manager first then begin the process of finding a new manager ?

Graham Potter is a great appointment. Many people have very short memories about him.

This guy had Brighton purring and playing some lovely footie.

They've got the basis of players who would thrive in his system and style. Add a couple of niche signings and they will be a force next season.

Another team to keep manyooo out of the European spots.

Looking forward to seeing some entertaining and quality football from West Ham very soon.

I think the FA fucked up not making him the next Engerland boss. He has a chance to prove it.

Maybe try to be a bit more circumspect in their dealings, rather than the world and his dog knowing what was going on.

I agree and they do have a history of not handling these situations well - but much of it is stirred up on social media and a lot of it is hot air to get fans all angry, no one really knows the ongoing behind the scenes.

Yeh they love it as well.
Bored of the stories and don’t really care, Lop will get a multi million pay out and a new job elsewhere.
Of course they do; manna from heaven for them. Whenever they smell blood, they home in. It's what they do. We had it back when Hughes was the manager here. Ange is beginning to cop for some heat now at Spursy. And if TWGC continue to underperform, Amorim will be in the media's crosshairs.

Gone by the summer, the whole Hammers board is spilt by the appointment, the dildo seller did not want him.

West Ham great club but the ownership is doing a great impression of Peter Swales at his finest.

How do you know this ? Is there a quote from Sullivan ?
Just going off all the media reports and the reason for the delay in sacking Lopetegui.

Karen Brady wanted Potter, Sullivan wanted Max Allegri.

West Ham is a very split ownership model and hence why they struggle, Sullivan's son is an utter joke and should be nowhere near making decisions at that club.

We’ve just had 4-5 years of top 6-8 finishes and winning a European trophy.
so I wouldn’t say we’ve always struggled under our ownership- they’ve made some very astute managerial appointments and back them up financially- doesn’t mean they alway come off and there’s been some flops - like most clubs.
Of course I’d rather some Asian/American multi billionaire owner that can pump more money into signings - but overall under GBS we’ve been in a good place.
I ignore the vast majority of media reports against them and don’t venture into every single hearsay point of W.Ham social media and forums.
Some of our fans get more enjoyment at the ‘turmoil’ of our club and go down every anti Brady/Sullivan rabbit hole rather than actually wanting us to succeed and be winning under our owners.

When numerous media outlets are reporting you have sacked your manager 3 days before you actually do it's a sign of a poorly run football club.

I have no issue sacking Lopetegui, he was a strange choice but should he not be the first to know?

No. They could have lined up their shortlist then approached their first choice after the sacking. Being photographed with Potter is openly showing disrespect to Lopetegui and is really poor.

It’s deliberate: you can easily meet a prospective manager without being clocked. Why do they do this? Beats me.
