This shit will continue until we get fresh players who can put a shift in for 90 minutes.
We also need to get some goal scorers back in this team.
We missed shit loads of easy chances tonight and that put more pressure on our midfield and defence.

Get either Dias or Stones back then it becomes less shit.

We shouldn't need to be 3 up to be in with a realistic chance to win a game but that's the reality ATM. We gas aon 60mins EVERY GAME. Said it in the match thread but as soon as that McAtee shot went wide, I feared the worst. We kept the ball in their end for a few minutes then we’re so poor at reorganisation that when they had a goal kick, it was obvious what was about to happen.

Akanji. Can’t be second to a header in the 92nd minute when defending a lead. Especially when your man is stood a yard away for a few seconds.

Agree about Haaland. He has to be picked on his current performances which are not particularly near good. Rather play without a CF atm. We won the PL like that so its not like it doesn't work.

A chance to work on a few things, sort the recruitment out, realise which players have had it and maybe win a cup.

There were things to like tonight. Savinho looking like he's going to become a player, Kev back to his best, Foden finding some form in front of goal. Sign 5 or 6 players across January and the summer and come strong again next season.

Spot on. There’s a clear lack of confidence at the moment which hurts us. But that will pass. But I was encouraged by the performance of quite a few of the younger players today. It makes me optimistic for the future. There is a core of talented young players who will be with us for the next decade. gvardiol, Sav, Nunez, Foden It’s true that there a significant group linked to our past success that need to move on and be replaced. That’s going to take a year or two.

It’s piss poor coaching throughout the club.
Fitness/conditioning coaches don’t seem to be doing much as other teams play as much of us and don’t look fucked after half time. Added our woeful defending and finishing and set pieces, you do wonder what we do in between games.

Just watching the end of the Dippers game. Mo Salah pretty well plays every minute of every game and he looks as fit as a fiddle. Why are our players struggling so much ?

Have to say, I blame Savinho a lot for tonight. His decision making was shocking.

He is exasperatingly greedy in the opposition box. Multiple times he should have passed and just kept it or shoot when he had no chance of scoring.
Attacking play great, but he has a lot to improve on.

The CH's are looking porr because they have no effective CDM in front of them, they are always in the 'wrong' position.

Kova was doing a pretty decent job of it, Gundo didn't. Thats why we didn't win that game.

I'm not pointing the finger at individuals, there was no shortage of effort.

Nailed it. Sad but gundo shouldn't even get on the pitch never mind as sub.

That game had everything. A crap midfield that also had moments of magic. Haaland playing well holding the ball up but not a sniff otherwise. Nunes doing as a right back part of the time and looking dangerous going forward to also looking clueless. Kev having a generally poor game but ran his socks off and produced when it looked like it mattered. Pep giving McAtee all of 3 mins plus injury but he should have scored and settled it with the one touch i remember. Ake amazing game but missed a crucial header.

It was a fantastic game if your a neutral but can’t say I enjoyed it. It was a game we just had to win.

Ortega isn’t the answer in goal for me. Better shot stopper for me but not convinced by his distribution.

You must be having a laugh. He found his man with almost every pass tonight.

We’ve still got big problems within the side. Loose passes, lost the ability to win second balls, our control of the ball looks off like the ball bounces off of toes and heels, stupid passing decisions. No midfield, one lone striker that can go missing (although his hold up play was a lot better today) defensively frail, very frail. Gvardiol looks all over the place at times. Nunes isn’t a right back. Silva does absolutely nothing in any game! We’ve old legs, not much pace, shooting is haphazard most of the time. But other than that we’re ok.
