Draw at home and win away is an average of two points per game. We've got 35 points from 21 games so we're already seven points behind.

The lack of the right subs contributed to leaving tired legs on the pitch Make more subs and do it one after the other to break momentum of the game like most managers do It was clear that Erling and Kev were fucked he should have seen the match out with the right subs has many in here have pointed out

I’m not sure what options he had to replace the tired legs that led to their goals though. It’s not as if they suddenly cut us open in different ways to what they were doing already, we just didn’t defend two moments as well as we’d done previously. We played most of the game in their half after the subs and McAtee could have put the game to bed.

I get why people will blame the subs because of the timing but that’s ignoring everything that went before and who was culpable for their goals.

Wtf was Pep doing on bringing in Gundo to add legs and physicality. We were already playing without ten men without the ball in the last 15 as Haaland was shattered. Better performance with an actual defender in defence in Ake. Then are passiveness was exposed again on goals with Savio and Akanje. Why didn’t he bring on Jack for last ten to waste time and win fouls and anyone with legs for the midfield like O’Reilly and Lewis. Please buy a couple of central mids!!!!

Some very disappointed people are saying some over the top things on here as usual. Even at our best Brentford created a lot of problems in the past. Phil said the team was tired at the end. Brentford weren't. They are fit and physically tougher than us. Our midfield is easily out fought at the moment. We need young fit players with the skills that Pep requires. We need to have the players press and take their chances. We look like we're getting a couple of good young physical defenders and a forward that can press and score. We still need a defensive midfielder. We created chances today, just put more of them away and we'd all be happy. It's just the way it played out in the last minutes that upset me. I hate playing Brentford.

We had a two goal lead with 10 mins to play, attacking players had done their job despite several wasted chances.

Defence couldn’t do their job and close the game out, wouldn’t rely on them being able to close a fucking door at present.

Equaliser was squarely on Savinho. You cannot allow that cross to come in. He’s a kid and it’ll come.

Shocking take. All it takes it a turn of pace or a half decent passing move and you're running at the defence.

The complete lack of a competent midfield is killing us.

The midfield don't get back quick enough to protect the back four, time and time again our fullbacks had no protection.

Not just tonight. Every game we play that side of the field is so open. None of Savinho, Doku or Grealish seem to give him any cover at all. He was defending against 2 or more all night.

Or, just occasionally, we need to play a 9 man defence for the last 10 minutes and just win the game.
