A lot of those players have had a week off and were still trotting about so I don't think being out of the CL is a positive at all. We need to stay in it as long as we can and hope something clicks in the near future. I don't think qualifying for it next season is made any easier by us being knocked out of it.
 
So from what peps saying. Im getting These are Sorriano signings to sell on in future... i hope im wrong but these signings arent gonna come in and make a difference. Theyre for future seasons or the usual loan and sold on. We should be making signings for the here and now in the 23 -27 bracket established in european league players. Looks like we're writing this season off

How are 2 young unheard of cbs going to sort our current issues?

Agree completely with this. This team currently needs top level/elite now! The younger signings will hopefully come in and be fantastic over the next years but still the lack of at least one midfielder is staggering to be honest.

No way are they for future sales given what we are paying for them

Pep said in his embargoed press conference the other day that Ferran wants young players that the club can have for a few years and then they have a big sell on value whereas Pep would prefer proven players in their mid 20`s who can instantly play to a high level.
 
Bid overhaul on the cards for this squad in the next 12 to 18 months. Strengthening and replacing player in every area of the pitch more than likely. Nice to see all the "1 or 2 players is all we need and we'll be back" posters have disappeared as well now that the task in hand has dawned on them.

Ornstein said football is changing. Omar marmoush is seen as too old by other top clubs in the league. The clubs in the league according to Ornstein want young players with high potential under 23 as they have a higher sell on probability. So these Cbs we are signing will become the norm. Most probably players we sign will be u23 most of the time

It is the effect on morale and mentality that would worry me, were we to get knocked out. At the moment the team still live in hope that we can win things if we can just ride it out and click back into gear. Take that away and the mood will really drop. We are still in two competitions while pushing for top 4 in the league. Given the situation, that's worth hanging on to.

Exactly. Half the squad is fucked physically and mentally. How is more games going to help, especially if we end up being battered?

Soriano signings are the CFG ones we can make big profits on. Those enable us to go and get super talents like Reis and Khuskhnov.

Sad that this is pretty much true because we’ve shown such complacency and no ambition in the transfer market.

Even without all the injury issues we’d still need cover for Haaland and two full backs. It’s fucking ridiculous, no club can just sit and watch players get older and slower without trying to improve. Two young centre backs might be great as future signings but we need ready made midfielders, striker and full backs this season.

Remember how far ahead we were of every team in the league. Now poor recruitment and fear of upsetting the cartel by actually spending on better players has fucked us up. It’s like we’ve let the red shirt cunts’ plan to rein us in work. How the fuck has that happened.

Fuck the bastards, spend some bloody money and get in the very best that can be persuaded to come, while we’re still vaguely decent and still have Pep! Spend some fucking money City!

But the numbers are not right, because there are no fees for for example Delap, Trafford, Forbs, Charles, Lavia, Bazunu, Luiz (sell on fee) etc., so should be much higher. But I don´t know how it is with the other clubs.

It’s true though some on here think at player at 29 is past it (Kimmich)

At 34 KDB is still our best player by far and if the club don’t even attempt to offer him a new deal even if it’s 1 year or 1 plus 1 we deserve what ever is happening to us at the moment.

Yesterday I saw a superb attacking performance undermined by a massive hole in the middle of the pitch.

We don't need much, but what we do need is glaring.
