Our midfield is shocking defensively, we need leg's in there, especially in the last 20 minutes of games.

I wouldn't have used the term pensioners as it's a bit derogatory, but our midfield at the moment, has no pace or physicality and that's got fuck all to do with what's gone on in the past.

Our problems aren't a drop off because the players in midfield are mentally tired, it's because they can't run.

For those who throw pelters for omitting Haaland, it’s mainly because he could barely walk in the second half, let alone break into a jog. Not necessarily blaming him - possibly knackered or picked up a knock.

I`ve said it before on here and to friends, My dad god bless him always said if you are struggling to score and conceding goal take a good look at6 your midfield.

Looking at our midfield its lacking in aggression and energy and the players are fragile. Gundogan is finished. Kev as much as I love the guy has only got a pass in him, he use to be press resistant he isn`t now. We need Rodri our defensive monster back but that`s more if and when. If it`s when after, a long injury it could take 12 to 18 months because of injuries cause by the extended time without playing. It doesn`t look like we are doing anything to replace Kev, Gundogan, Kovacic in this window lets hope to fuck we do in the summer window.

Couldn't agree more. It isn't just the last 20 minutes either, it happened all the way through the game. A shit press from the front 3/4 players, quick ball into midfield and we suddenly have compo, foggy and clegg trying to react and the opposition are breaking on us in acres of space. They have no legs, but can't read the game quick enough either to close down spaces. Makes you appreciate what Rodri does so well, but we can't hide behind that any longer.
 
Can see us smashing these to honest. Delap might get an obligatory goal against his former club.
