At some point wont we hit the limits of how many we can sign?

Sign, no, register yes. Premier league rules are more relaxed, theres no limit on the changes we can make to the squad and under 21 players don't even have to be registered anyway so we're good there.

Champions league is the key one. First we're assuming we even qualify for the next phase which is far from certain right now but assuming we do, we can only change 3 players from the squad we've submitted for the league phase. Those can be new additions if the list wasn't previously full or replacing others if it was but 3 is the maximum changes we can make, if we sign more than 3, we'll have to decide who misses out. crucially, under 21 signings cannot go on the B list, they need to have been with us for 2 years prior before they can go on the B list so they'd also have to go on the A list.


Looking at all our rumoured targets. Marmoush and this guy would be registered purely down to the fee paid and experience, then there's a desperate need for a holding midfielder, we're going nowhere in that competition without one, if we get one that's the 3 changes already and no space for khusanov or Reis, if we don't get one of those can be registered. Either way, there's at least 1 high profile signing missing out on champions league football with us this season if all these players are coming in.

I reckon this is the midfielder we are signing till Rodri is back. I know he plays either side of defence too. That ls why i think it makes sense. When Rodri is back, this guys versatility will mean theres no issues.

Always wary when this happens. They love getting giddy over nothing the Italians. ronaldo was done to us about 34 times in 2021 before he signed for them and all reports came from over there.
