The Ronaldo deal to us was a definite goer until the rags found out and completely shit their pants and offered him absolutely ridiculous wages.

I was also told from a credible source that the rags even got The Govan Piss Can to ring him personally and persuade him to join them
 
If he signs I think the club might be accepting that Rico just isn’t quite going to be good enough. Any time we want an inverting full back it would be Cambiaso, not Rico. And Rico doesn’t even get a look in in midfield when the midfield is useless never mind once we fix it! But no idea how accurate these links to Cambiasso are.

Could be Peps plan to use Rico permanently in midfield. He played there a bit at the start of the season but has had to cover RB due to Kyle`s form. Cambiaso could be both inverting and bombing forward like Gvardiol. His crossing is incredible and it would make sense for him to play as a traditional overlapping LB, as I think Marmoush will play LW a lot and he will naturally want to cut inside

I dont think it has to be much deeper than if one fullback leaves (Walker) we are looking to bring one in.

He`s only 20 years old. He`s had a relatively poor season, but so has pretty much all of his teammates as well. Put him next to Rodri in midfield, with Dias back in defense to lead the line, and it`s a completely different story

I don't get it with Rico. He runs about a lot without doing a lot.
 
Very nice versatile player. Can play LB, RB, wingback and some midfield. Can pass with either foot and is press resistant.

Needs to be better defensively.
