Even in this “below par” season he is still the second top scorer in the league. The fact is he’s been with us now for 2 and a half years and his record is phenomenal. He isn’t an 18 year old striker breaking through, he’s the best striker in the world who we have continually been told is using us a stepping stone to Madrid, committing effectively the rest of his career to us.

Add in the wider context of what this potentially means re the charges, then yes people are elated.

Well, it’s great news. You can think what you want about Haaland the footballplayer (nobody on here knows him in person), I like to think any team in the world would want to have Haaland in their team. And we are the team where he starts his game.
Is he the finished article? No. But at 24 he will give us a more to cheer about rather than moan about.
And finally just imagine all these Division 2 defenders eager to play against him when we get relegated as it’s now 130 charges. City going down with Haaland in the team, Haaland in the team, Haaland in the team!!
