Juvé were already serial title winners by the time Ronaldo arrived, but they saw him as the catalyst to winning the elusive CL. With the crazy money ManUre offered for Pogba, & the opportunity of signing Ronaldo to help win the CL, & the marketing bonanza he'd bring with him, they considered this a winning move. It wasn't.
Juvé were no better off for letting Pogba go & buying Ronaldo, hence why they're not infallible with their player assessment of Cambiaso. Also, rumours are they're financially challenged & need the dough. They already have RB options, so Cambiaso could be seen as an opportunity to fill the coffers, in exchange for a good player they have other options for.
