Looks like we'll be paying more than we got for Alvarez. A lot of pressure on him to produce straight away with a price tag like that, has to at least be better than Alvarez.

Alvarez is the rightful comparison. He's the one he's ultimately replacing as Haalands alternative as well as an option elsewhere and we're spending a similar amount. Alvarez made an impressive impact from the off, he's got some big shoes to fill.

if you read several reports from the UK germany and europe it is being said he has cost as little as €55m to €80m.
no one knows tbh bar the clubs and every €80m report said that was what frankfurt wanted not that is what we paid.
As usual the real transfer fee isn't known so why get hung up on it as being a barometer to judge him .

Always add the wages. City are the only club in the world where the media and the other deluded opposition fans do that. Do they expect these players to play for us for nowt why are the shocked that we pay wages to players..Fees + wages means we have made a very big investment in his talent
