from the videos i've watched of him he seems like a player who could play in midfield looks like he's got a good pass as well as carry the ball
 
This transfer makes sense.

The fact he can play multiple positions including midfield is brilliant.

We won’t need a DM to cover Rodri. Maybe the thinking has shifted as no top DM wants to sit and watch rodders play.

This is the one to fix midfield temp and long term. He is akin to a Kimmich or maybe a slightly better version of Rico. No disrespect to the latter.

It should come as no surprise we want a versatile player to fix this issue. We do it for all parts of the pitch.

Agreed we need someone who can do a job now, sounds like Cambiaso can and has done this role with great effect on many occasions. Then once Rodri is back he can switch to play inverted full back, while covering for Rodri on occasion.
 
The return on of 4 CB in defence, Cambiaso will go in midfield and I still think we will bring another in. As stated before I see Grealish going on loan.’, with Mcatee and Walker also going.
 
This „ he can play Dm“ will kill us again. He plays on the wings the whole time and now he can play central ? Sorry but we are just pushing our problems back. Once Rodri gets injured again - the same problem will happen again. Don‘t need a top DM but an actual DM. Would rather loan Douglas Luiz for like 5M for the rest of the season. As if something like that isn’t possible.

Or 3 at the back with wingbacks, that Pep played when we had Jesus and Aguero only stopped it when Mendy got injured. Means midfield can be overloaded outnumbering teams in the middle.

he started out as a CM, not an unfamiliar role to him tbf.

De Bruyne is still our best player, Foden or Savinho would be the ones to drop out.

I would love to have a cencelo type player with a better work rate and mentality
