Luiz isn't possible for 5m. Juventus want the full fee back. No one's going to commit to that.

This is the one to fix midfield temp and long term. He is akin to a Kimmich or maybe a slightly better version of Rico. No disrespect to the latter.

It should come as no surprise we want a versatile player to fix this issue. We do it for all parts of the pitch.

I disagree entirely. It’s great to have someone who can be versatile but we also need a dominant mobile DM this month or we won’t finish in a CL spot. Up to the club to weigh up the risks of not overspending to get one out of their clubs now vs not finishing in a CL spot or worse still ending up in one of the europa shite comps.
 
I think his creativity and direct play towards goal would be wasted at full back, where he has his weaknesses too.
We always had problems with high full backs that had their brainfarts like Walker, Laporte, Cancelo, Gvardiol or Nunes vs rags.

We have been superb when we had full backs that could defend like a fit Aké back then and Walker when focusing on proper defending.

I hope - IF he came - Cambiaso would throw in his creative ideas on a Kev position, only vs weaker sides as a full back. We do have creative deficiencies with ageing Kev, Bernie and Gundo. Cambiaso would be a great fit IMO.

Tuned in only to see Cambiaso pick up the ball & lose it in the middle of the park resulting in a Milan counter - will fit right in here ;-)

Seems very attacking minded & very left footed.

Admittedly a very small sample, looks like a Pep player with his versatility but can’t see him being a lock-down left back.

Meanwhile that Reijnders for Milan looks like that midfielder we’ve been crying out for!

Ha, that's basically my entire judgement after watching him for quite a lot of games. Quick study you!

Defender who can't defend but that's a lot of modern wide defenders, pacey and loves to attack, possibility we move him around a bit like Lewis until we find where he fits if he were to join.

Yes? People move all the time in football to different positions as experiments?
I'm saying although we might buy him as a left back, it feels with his traits that he could adapt to a different role or position better.

You have to understand that this guy has played essentially every position on the pitch in his career.

Players are bought, especially for big money, because they will play a particular position, that the team needs......not as an 'experiment' lol
.....or do you seriously think, that City/Pep, will spend that, and then see if he fits in somewhere? They tried that with Nunes (they probably just found out, he wasn't really good enough for the position he was bought for)....and found his best position is to be sat on the bench ;)
