PSG (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

I have no idea what Pep was doing tonight, changing all 4 defenders positions just before an attacking free kick, absolutely stupid.

After going (undeservedly for me) 2-0 up, that was a complete shambles up there with some of City's best of all time.
Embarrassing as was lack of pace nous and fight. Peps got hands full as that needs more than a tweak. Grealish grinning at 2-2 was irritating to say least. Either stones is injured or he’s not. Can’t believe he was considered for this game. Thought he was being eased back

Ederson
Nunes
Rico
Gundo
Kova
KDB
Stones
Bernardo
Akanji

Get them all gone in the summer. Either not good enough, lost their hunger, too old / injury prone. Replace them with young, talented hungry players who want to work hard.
Hard to disagree with most of that list. I think the penny's dropped with even the most ardent happy clappers in relation to the scale of the squad rebuild scenario.

It’s a very disappointing result and a poor second half but 24 pages in and no mention of getting behind the lads for the Brugges game. No Wonder City Xtra or whatever they are called post stuff like this. They’ve got an audience for it.
It's called emotion. It's human nature. When bad things happen people get upset and annoyed and then calm down and become more rational. TBF, you getting mad at people getting mad about the team is the same thing, emotion. It's only because people care about the club. It's difficult to see us fall so hard from so high so quickly.

If we continue this shite form and dire performances until the end of the season I think Pep will be off. Probably stressed to fuck with all his off field shit at the minute which won't be helping with his head. It's a mystery when we come up against good opposition we simply crumble and get run ragged. Chelsea will be the same on Saturday, Liverpool soon, Arsenal soon, it could get really messy quickly
You may be right but in some ways this is down to him.

My biggest concern is throwing away a two goal lead is no longer a surprise.
Kev ( our captain ) got hooked only for Bernardo to get the armband in the worst form of his life. Disappointed but no longer surprised. CTID

We are where we are in CL not because of tonights performance, we lost because of previous performances against under par teams.

Tonight PSG were on it, probably their best performance in the CL this season. Our first half although not as good as PSG was one of our better games. We were out of the blocks 2nd half, but PSG with the crowd behind them had an incredible mentality and determination to get back in, led by Barcola and Neves who showed huge class.

It hurts because we were 2-0 up, and soon after PSG were back in the game.

Next week CL game will be a double edged sword. Win and we restore some pride and we play 2 extra playoff games, before the knockout phase, and we still may not qualify. Lose and we can concentrate on strong PL finish and attempting to win FA cup.

Sad thing is, as soon as they got one back (cheers Nunes) the result was inevitable. It was just a mater of when not if they steamrolled us.

I mean obviously we have seen worse City teams than this, but never a more soft, fragile, delicate, shivering little puppy as this one.
As well as Nunes getting sucked in, Akanji was too far up the pitch with no need to be so.

It might help if he is played in his best position instead of having to fill in all over the park. We have a young lad here that is actiully one of the few to show fight and bite with a bit of leadership thrown in and fans are pillorying him.
And his best position is? He has been done a diservice playing him as a regular first teamer as he is not one
