PSG (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

Shit, that. Again. Pep had no answer for their press from minute 1 - baffling really. We’ve just had our pants pulled down for 90 minutes with absolutely no real retaliation apart from a couple of anomaly runs from Akanji and Nunes which felt so alien and isolated that they mustn’t have been part of the tactics.

Just poor again. Shown up against a team better than Salford/Ipswich. Too many players jogging, backing out of tackles and generally being too weak.

The usual story of the opposition being younger, hungrier and faster than us. The legs in the team can’t handle it and it’s been the same all season.

Teams must be excited to play against us and that’s the worst thing you can see about it right now. They have an absolute field day for 90 minutes. Embarrassing again.

Broken record but we need a fucking midfielder.
Didn't think PSG were much of a threat up to 60 minutes. We were quite solid. Nothing glamorous but we were doing a good job. After 60minutes we collapsed and were steamrollered.

To see players like Walker, Stones, Gundog, Silva, Ederson, KDB head from elite superstars to relative medocrity at this level in the same season has been painful but should never undermine the absolute pleasure they have ALL given over the best part of a decade.

Todays matchday, postmatch abuse to them and particularly some less gifted replacements is not the old city way but a sign of the toxic times on soc media generally.

The Chelsea game will be fascinating some new blood and and generous initial applause for Cole Palmer before the xxxxer bags a hat trick!
Well said mate

I didn’t watch the match but when I know that Dias is off and Ake is not available I know we are fucked. Akanji being the leading CB is and joke and we don’t have a right back. That’s why the focus of this transfer window is on the back line.

Sad to see but some of the players who have given us so many wonderful moments and memories over the past few years look absolutely shot, either mentally, physically or both - Bernardo, Gundo, Walker.
Others have had bad injuries - Rodri, Oscar Bibb
Others out of form - Ederson, Akanji, Phil
One of our biggest strengths- the press we put on teams and winning the ball back high up has all but gone.
Questionable buys (at best) in Nunez and Phillips.
Young players new to the league like Doku and Savinho are hit and miss.
It's going to take some sorting but at least we are bringing in new blood with more to come hopefully, especially in midfield.
We're in the midst of a "perfect storm" and I would take 4th or 5th now.
PSG were 2 goals at least better than us tonight, and ran us ragged second half.
We may best Bruge but we're certainly not going to win the CL so it may be a blessing, albeit an embarrassing one of we fail to qualify for the knockout rounds.
