That was... the most encouraging performance for weeks? Not great but we largely stopped Chelsea which was the main thing I took out of it.

I thought it was his best game for ages but he is suspect at times one on one at the back. He doesn’t have the defensive instincts of Ake.
Having said that he was very composed today and carried the ball out of defence very calmly. He actually found his pass more often than not.
Hopefully this will be a massive boost to his confidence.

Performance was ok

But not enough is being said about the major point of this game - The keeper jersey Ederson was wearing - an absolute abomination. We deserve a 3 point deduction for allowing someone to wear it.

You've just watched Bernardo play in defence, midfield, upfront, starting the press and picking up from ederson and you think Gvardiol was the best player on the pitch, lool! Bunch of jokers!

Good performance from the lads, the most assured we’ve looked in weeks.

Felt really bad for Khusanov after that mistake for their goal but thought he grew into the game and got that key block in to stop a 2nd goal early in the 1st half.
