Has Pep said anything about Doku? I assume he's injured again. Every time he builds momentum, he picks up a knock. That was the biggest concern with him at Rennes, too.

Said he'll be out for a while when asked the other day.

Didn't train today and definitely missing tomorrow but he "didn't know" if he'd be fit for Arsenal this weekend. Dias, Ake, Doku and Rodri all missing at the moment.

Wouldn't be shocked if they've been asked to be around for the next week or 2. New players, important games, essentially a final tomorrow etc...

These lads are no mugs and are in good form - beat villa and sporting, drew away at Celtic who have made parkhead a bit of a fortress again this year, drew with Juventus.

This is going to be a tough tough game. We can do it and signs have been encouraging but we'll need to be at it from the get-go!

An early goal or two would be great boys!

Just a question. If we get through to the play-offs, and if Villa don't get through to the automatically qualified, could we be drawn against them? Or does the exclusion clause that prevents two teams from the same country playing each other still apply? Does anybody know?
There are some good teams in that top half, i.e. 9 to 16. Of course, one or two might get through to automatic qualifiers tonight.

Bloody hell I thought @malg had changed his username there for a minute

If we win are we 100% through no matter what happens regarding other results?
Yes, because beating Brugge would see us finish above them (so guaranteed to be in playoff places).

And only a win will do for us, whereas Brugge can play for a draw to progress (and could even lose and still get through).

Edited my post to correct my erroneously referring to Copenhagen when I meant Club Brugge. Apologies.

Given Brugge's propensity for intense pressing and direct wide play (from the little I've seen of them, admittedly), they'll have seen PSG's approach and be heartened. They'll try to recreate that.

I think calmness is the order of the day but we've seen a few times against teams who've come at us, eg West Ham and Brentford, that we tend to get embroiled in end to end slug fests. Great for neutrals, not for winning knockouts.

If Silva and Kovacic can do this game and Arsenal away, id play them both, but Pep will know best on their fitness.

Otherwise I want to see Savinho start, KdB behind Haaland, and wouldn't mind Khusanov with Stones.

Stay calm, take the lead and watch Brugge either tear themselves apart chasing the draw or fold if they're going through with a loss.
