Anyone on X to ask Burnham whether he'd rather have government support for regeneration of the Old Trafford area, or the HS2 line going to Crewe?

There are 15 match-day buses running from Co-op college (next to the academy stadium) to various localities around Manchester https://tfgm.com/man-city/bus-network and the Etihad stadium is in Manchester. It's a 25 min. walk to Piccadilly station. Old Trafford is over an hour from the station. No one walks it apart from away fans who drink in town.

Marvin, do you crawl to OT from Piccadilly train station on Derby day? ;-)

They got the government to build a Manchester United Football Stadium Train Station. It was then their crowds started to build up, prior to that our attendances were twice theirs.

We could with a converted narrow boat there is a marina in Droylsden town centre a lot of City fans on that side of Manchester terminus Canal Street in town :) it might even go as far as Whitworth street

Whoever funded it, it will have hardly broke the bank. Not sure I’d describe it as a station either. It’s literally just one concrete platform alongside the track which runs into the freight terminal.

How can the cost of a new United stadium be quoted at £2 billion when the LA Chargers paid £5.5 billion for a new stadium. Also in the United States the Labour and raw material costs are less than here.

Also does anyone know where the suggested 5,000 homes will be built ?
