Why did you not mention Haaland, Savinho, De Bruyne? You just happened to pick probably our two worst signings since Mangala. Using outliers to make a point is weak.

I could’ve mentioned Doku £50m - hit and miss, mainly miss ….. Gvardiol £70m ? - a downgrade on Laporte

It’s not all doom and gloom, we have made good signings but my overall point is that 100m in prize money while not chicken feed isn’t enough reward to justify risking a player who’s irreplaceable. Not to mention that a half fit Rodri easing his way back into the swing of things alongside a team of battle weary veterans doesn’t guarantee us success.

That's true but I think the club should err on the side of caution of bringing him back too soon even though Rodri seems to be recovering quicker than average from an ACL.
