That's exactly why it would have been humiliating? Given our consistent strong performances in the competition qualification from the initial stage is all but guaranteed? If the rags are relegated this season or even close to it do you not think that would be humiliating?
I'm not sure what you last paragraph means. Both arrogant and non arrogant people can equally be humiliated nor do you need to be non humble to be humilitaed.

Humiliated isn’t the word, shocked, disappointed, embarrassed but it certainly isn’t a humiliation.

Depends how the media frame it I find. I would imagine to capture the clicks utd being relegated would be agonising loss for Utd, plucky but not enough, etc.

Not saying you are wrong but I do notice the wording changes when applied to City because of click chasing. Humiliating speaks to our rival fans and thats who they are engaging imo.

Humiliation:
the feeling of being ashamed or losing respect for yourself.

Is that how the Club and its fans should feel if we had got put out?
Really?
I would feel this if our fans killed 39 opposition fans at a European final and subsequently got all English teams banned from Europe for 5 years.

But that's just me. Some are offended by everything, ashamed of nothing.

Nedum Enoha, excellent article on the BBC about injuries. Got me thinking though... We have the likes of Carragher talking about City and the charges from a non City pov, pundits talking about a sad day for football if we get off, across the board it is anti-City stuff on the 115 charges.

Why do we not, and more specifically, why has the likes of Nedum been instructed NOT to talk our corner (Nedum loves the club and has his own views on the 115 that are not MSM). But are our pundits being stopped from talking positively about City? Or is the club have instructed them to be quiet?

We all know that Arsenal, IF they win, will celebrate like they've just won the Champions League final... then lose next week to Leicester City.

Arsenal have the emotional maturity of a three year old.
Now hang on, that's an unwarranted insult to all 3 year olds!!! That team and Lego head have the collective emotional maturity of an Amoeba. Apologies to all Amoebas.

Because if you argue with idiots you get dragged down to their level and beaten with experience, ive said numerous times it doesnt matter what we say as it will be met with a wall of stupidity and nonsense, if you want proof of that see stefan on talksport, why waste our breath and time on trying to convince stupid people to see sense, they wont see it because they quite simply dont want to see it.

As i have said in the past if they have to cope with the reality that city havent cheated and they have been successful by simply being better run, having better ideas and better people in place, then they have to cope with the reality that their club is not special and anyone can not only do what they have done but do it better and they quite simply arent ready to cope with that reality.

If taken in isolation that seems a plausible defence but in the context of BBC's coverage of our club for a decade under Roan et al that intro/outro in reality just reinforces their relentless anti-City narratives while uncritically pumping out dipper propaganda ad nauseam. Such a shame the rags aren't in the frame for them to feed lies about us to that sad part of their mass redshirt audience too. I have the impression you may be connected in some direct way to our national broadcaster and if so please tell us how the sort of biased straplines on today's football webpages can be justified?
It would be a terrible terrible shame if at our next home game cries of " roan is a paedo" rang out, loud for all subscribers to hear. I would be saddened, some might say "humiliated" if such a terrible terrible thing were to happen! :-/

they'll be queuing up (well the list needs updating - one or two are no longer with us)

All of them rocking a strong sex offender aura
