Stones has been really excellent in the last 2 games. I think that's a good call. His pass to Savinho and the 3rd goal was the moment of the match vs Brugge so he's certainly got the skills to play there or to step up into midfield.

He needs to otherwise that lot will be queuing up with comments around 'be humble' - one of the subs or someone from the backroom staff at full time. Mind you, he's a big lad and can hold his own, I'd see him kicking off if any of them did try it on.

Hard to be the main creator all the time.. mentally draining. Sort of like a writer or musiscian coming up with the goods...all the time!

Honestly mate and I say this as an Arsenal fan who will take any advantage we can get, the lad has just arrived, doesn't speak English yet, made a mistake against Chelsea but showed character to come back. However you won't get through Arsenal's midfield and defence like you did Chelsea's so any mistakes you make need to be minimised else you might not get the chance to come back.

I think this isn't the match for him - he's not yet integrated into the system, Martinelli plays right on the edge of offside and if the back 4 aren't all synced he'll get in behind at will and with his pace will be away and in on goal.

The lad Usmanov is going to be a really good player, I just think this game would put him on a hiding to nothing. Let him settle in and learn the City system then you'll see the best of him.

That’s going to be played to death pre game. I love that about Erling, he acts like a fan rather than an employee. He gets it. I don’t just mean for us. He was similar at Dortmund.

What will happen is those southern cunts will boo his every touch, which in turn will put a smile on his face, more fire in his belly and he will score a brace.
