Bringing Gundo on late in recent weeks hasn't gone to plan unfortunately, Brentford away and PSG away spring to mind, I love Gundogan to bits but he's a hard watch as his legs have gone, I think we'd see a different Gundogan if we had a natural holding midfielder in the team to play alongside him.

Agreed on Savinho and Marmoush they both have to start along with Phil, Best form of defence is attack for us.
front four of erling, sav, marmoush and foden with a midfield 2 of kova and kdb and tell neither of them to cross the halfway line

Bernie seems to have found a second wind in recent weeks, Not back to the Bernie of old but the work he's put in recent weeks has been incredible especially the Chelsea game. Personally I'd go for Bernie and Kovacic pivot, The only reason I'd start KDB in this one is because of his record against Arsenal he loves playing against them...Plus he can come up with something out of nothing.

I don't think we'll see both Marmoush and KDB start so I think Pep will go for Marmoush and personally I hope he does because of his off the ball running in behind, It will give Saliba and Gabriel something else to think about and it will free up the Viking.

Intrigued by this match.

The way to beat us is by letting us have the ball and hitting us on the counter. But will Arsenal and their pride/unwarranted belief allow them to do that instead of controlling the game against us?

Personally hope we sit back and hit them on the counter - especially with Haaland and Marmoush’s pace available to us now. And finishing ability/composure.

I fear we’ll try and control it, though, and they’ll pounce on Kovacic/Gundogan who have a tendency to be sloppy on it sometimes and triggering attacks against us. Big day for the attackers and the defenders.

Hate the fuckers. Can’t stand the thought of them beating us.

Where are people who are going drinking before the game?

Where’s best for a nice pint and something to eat that’s relatively near the ground? @bridgeno1

I hope I'm wrong but I think we'll lose.

We have too many players reaching the end of their prime, and as a result, who cannot run/press for 90 minutes. We still do not have a true 6 to replace (for now, and then as backup when Rodri returns to our squad) Rodri. And we have no true right back or left back.

Our team needs a major rebuild and although we've started this, it will take the next window (and more) plus time to complete the rebuild.

At present we're OK-ish going forward, but on defense we're terrible. We lose the ball way too often due to careless passes - and, unlike previous seasons, our press is not able to win back the ball quickly - instead, the opposition is able to mount a very dangerous attack and keep the ball for long periods of time - gashing our 30+ year old players and eventually leading to an opposition goal.

Moreover, several tactics are successful against us, consistently.
1) High press, high line.
2) Park the bus and lump it to one or more pacy forwards/wingers when the ball turns over.

Arsenal will deploy tactic 1.

My main worry is Nunes - no physicality, emotional or football intelligence. just one big brain fart ready to happen !

Ederson
Nunes Stones Akanji Gvardiol
Kovacic Bernardo
Foden KDB Savinho
Haaland

Bringing on Marmoush during 2nd half to finish the game off. Confident with this one. 3-1 City
I'd start Marmoush instead of KDB. Otherwise that's about the best we can put out at present.

Bournemouth are playing cracking football this season and especially in recent weeks they've hit their best form so hopefully that continues today, Should be a good game.

Fingers crossed we get our job done, Beating Chelsea at home, Beating Brugge to qualify and "a win at Arsenal" would be a massive confidence boost for the players going into these tough fixtures.
That would mark a corner that the SCUM could only dream of turning
:-)
