Well he lets the attacker get the run on his too often. I think defensively he has been absolutely shite this season. Attacking wise ok but defensively absolutely not ok.

I also would love to see him at CB. Him and Dias with the 2 young kids learning the way. Maybe a couple of actual full backs? Might feel like there's a little solidity in the middle if this were to happen instead of the fingers through wet toilet paper we are getting at the moment.

I don’t think he’d be anywhere near as good at CB personally. I think he’s already playing in a better position for him.

The reason we bought him was because he was the outstanding young CB in Europe

I disagree. We clearly bought him because he had all the qualities to play a modern LB role. With scouting, I doubt they look at players and think that where he’s currently playing is the only place he can play. They’ll look at the underlying attributes, the player profiles, and they’ll envisage what they can do with them. And for us that was a conversion to left back. Gvardiol is not playing out of position. He’s playing where he was meant to.
