Bernie likely has lost an inch of height this year to the amount he has been asked to do. He provides so many intangibles and is one of the few in our current staring lineup who appears to have a spine- sticks up for others etc.

Why didn't we sign this guy first week of Jan if we were just going to pay the release clause anyway?

The real fucking kicker is that we could have done this a month ago and he’d already be settled in and familiar with the team going into this run of awful fixtures.

Instead we seem to have wasted a month with bids that weren’t going to be accepted before paying the release clause amount anyway, and by the time he’s found his feet our season will probably be over.

He clearly wasn't first choice considering all of the above. And that's a huge concern. We have plenty of players who aren't good enough without adding another. Maybe he is our new RB?!
