his motor and speed arent great even for portuguese league standards, those are my main worries

Fair enough.

So he would be better playing in a double pivot rather than solo?

One more quick question.....would you say he his creativity is of a higher/lower/same quality as Rodri?

One of the worsts business i ve ever seen in football
Except for Barca and Porto. I always knew HViana was s**t but was faster than i thought doing that. Sad to see our deals lately

Total bollocks apart from the thanking bit.
Arguably our most important midfielder along with Rodri and until recently KDB.
Far from over the hill but just tired from being asked to play too frequently.
Just needs a rest.
Clearly one of many casual football fanciers who thinks you have to score, assist, make highlight tackles and saves to be considered valuable. Bernie likely has lost an inch of height this year to the amount he has been asked to do. He provides so many intangibles and is one of the few in our current staring lineup who appears to have a spine- sticks up for others etc.

Posts like that one get the no questions asked ignore feature applied to whomever produced them.

The real fucking kicker is that we could have done this a month ago and he’d already be settled in and familiar with the team going into this run of awful fixtures.

Instead we seem to have wasted a month with bids that weren’t going to be accepted before paying the release clause amount anyway, and by the time he’s found his feet our season will probably be over.

He clearly wasn't first choice considering all of the above. And that's a huge concern. We have plenty of players who aren't good enough without adding another. Maybe he is our new RB?!

Yes we are that reactive. Monitored the player since 2019, on the offchance we might one day get pumped by Arsenal and sign him the next day.
Tbf Saturday we were messing about with trying to get him 10m euros cheaper.

If he could have settled in in the space of a month the last month, why can't he settle in in the space of a month, this month? And still be ready for about two months' worth of fixtures.

He’d also likely be injured by now!

Why didn't we sign this guy first week of Jan if we were just going to pay the release clause anyway?

Why did Foden make that pass to Partey?

Why did the chicken cross the road?

A: They couldn't help themselves.
