I reckon so too but 6 months is a long time in football. Injuries etc could happen and derail a move the lad really wants

That's why every transfer is a gamble, a player can sign for a big fee and then get injured in their first training session. We just have to hope for the best.

Probably good to have a cooling off period now and see how the others settle in before deciding whether to pursue any interest. The coming months may alter our needs.

Unfortunately, every time I've tuned into the Serie A games this season Cambiaso has been very underwhelming.
Nothing really stands out from him. Seems to lose the ball far too often, not great at tracking back, with a lack of pace & no real dynamism at either end of the pitch. His best attribute seems to be his passing, but only if he's given time which he won't get in spades in the Premier League.
Upon reflection I'm glad we didn't stump up the reported £70m. Its like night & day trying to compare Cambiaso to say an elite LB like Nuno Mendes from PSG, who pocketed Salah midweek.

Watched the juve game last night, they got tonked 4-0 by atalanta. Cambiaso was nothing special. Looked like an ordinary player, not elite

Watch half of City games this season and you will reach the same conclusion that none of our players is elite.

One is playing regular football in the premier leqgue the other Seria A
as the leagues are different stat comparisons are really not relevent or measurable.
we won't know if cambiasso is any good unless we sign him
