City warned them. They didn't listen so we are just doing what anyone else would do. Taking legal action. Personally I love it.
Keep the teeth gnashing of all and Sundry at the forefront of the news but keep making the premier leagues coffers lighter and lighter.
Fuck me I love my club.
With you all the way SHB and my sentiments to.

Suspect this is purely because the follow on arbitration panel from the first APT case indicated it did not have jurisdiction to consider the question of whether the November amendments were lawful ie that it needed a fresh case. Also suspect, this second APT case would be abandoned if the follow on determination from the first case is that all the rules are unlawful (although I think this is unlikely). Not simple.

What's your feeling on the club's strategy behind this?

Probably we will know in the next month or so what the outcome of the second hearing at the original APT tribunal is. The club could have waited for that? Or was there a benefit in requesting a second tribunal on the newly amended rules last month already?

Also The Lawyer says there have been no new developments on the two sponsorships set aside by the tribunal. Does that mean they are now "approved" or are the PL just waiting to re-assess them again? Surely, they can't wait too long can they?

Confused as always :)

Presumably this backs up City’s position prior to the November vote that the sensible option would have been to wait for full determination on the first APT?

By having the second vote they have taken it beyond the jurisdiction of the first tribunal meaning they need two separate proceedings - whereas if they hadn’t had the vote they could have just amended the rules in line with the determination of the first panel?

It all seems like a colossal waste of time and money.
And why could clubs not see what was going on here, instead of jumping in with both feet with certain clubs to vote in favour,it’s just staggering why can’t they see what’s going on ..
