Club World Cup - Summer 2025

How did you get your access codes? Via a separate email or in your account? Still waiting for mine. It's been 10 days since I signed up
The access code for the lower priced R of 16, QF, SF and final tickets came on an email from City yesterday but I think you had to have purchased tickets for the group games already.

They’ve lowered prices for City in the last 16/QF/SF/Final and you can return previously purchased tickets for a refund = good news.

However, they charge you 10% of the ticket to be refunded.

If you bought for the final at $892, you’ll get $803 back and be able to buy the new ticket for $300 !

Old/New
16 76/50
QF 279/90
SF 526/140
Final 892/300

Apologies as I live in the States and have not bought tickets through Man City. As I am reading their website, you need to buy two memberships (does it matter Matchday or Citzens membership?) to be able to purchase two tickets with two separate access codes? Planning to take my son to at least Philly and Atlanta.

Just buy via Ticketmaster. No membership needed, sit in the area/cost you prefer.

Bitter Sweet, for the Final you save $2,368, but give them $356 for the privilege :O (Net saving $2,013). But here's the stinger, you'll get the $1,200 back if we don't make the final, but you will have still paid the $356 :O
I got one of the original access codes but decided not to bother when I saw the prices.
Is there a deadline for the people who did buy to take up the cheaper prices?
My hope/expectation is that after that date there will be a chance to go for tickets in the City end.
The new prices I can consider.

Here's what is says in the email I received ...

"
We are contacting you as you redeemed an Access Code to purchase tickets for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.

FIFA have released additional tickets within the Manchester City allocation at a cheaper rate. We would like to give you the opportunity to purchase tickets at the discounted rate using the access code below.

If you have already purchased tickets, you are able to use the below code to purchase tickets at the discounted rate, then claim a refund for the tickets you purchased originally. Please click here for a guide on how to claim a refund.

As ticket availability is not guaranteed, we recommend purchasing tickets before obtaining a refund.
  • The access code can be used until 24th February 2025, or once the tickets sell out.

The email came from service@service.mancity.com, so I think you're best contacting the club.

Thanks - have emailed them and shall post if I get a reply.

I was very much looking forward to this but now I am thinking that the one thing that City need is a proper pre-season. We have barely rested and prepared in the last 2 years. Our pre-seasons are extremely short and miss key players. Now we are going to miss another pre-season prep.

I’m excited for it as I’m going but I feel like it’s going to properly fuck us for next season. The likes of Bernardo who has played so much football over the years could do with the full summer off.

There’s been further complications. One of our party was allowed to buy all our tickets using his access code. Now his access code only allows him to buy his own tickets at the new lower price. When he tried our access codes (previously unused) to buy the new lower priced tickets it doesn’t allow it - they can only be used to buy the higher priced tickets. If there’s no way round it then this is a fuckin disgrace.
I'm not going, if I get an access code for you, would that be any good? Or is it tied to my name?

Thanks mate for the offer. It’s now been sorted after THREE phone calls to the ticket office with a combined wait time of 1hr 40 minutes. They sent us new access codes which enabled us to buy the cheaper tickets after they sent us new access codes which DIDN’T enable us to buy them - only the dearer ones (which we already had). Hence the third phone call. The first phone call the woman hung up on us after 50 minutes wait time to get through. Honestly, the ticket office is an absolute shambles at City.

How much we likely to make out of this ?

Obviously depends on how far we get [emoji15]

But, here’s the big picture “The total prize money is around €2.5bn and an initial €2bn will be distributed among the 32 teams that book their plane tickets to the USA. Qualification therefore brings €50m as a minimum, while there will be other results-based bonuses and the winner will receive around €100m.”

Plus, I would presume, bonuses from our sponsors based on our results.

I reckon(puts finger in the air) any ‘typical’ season ticket and match day increase, raises annual revenue by £10m, at most.
