PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I personally think from the "sentence" quote that there is a points deduction, not relegated, possibly transfer ban (1 or 2 year). Top 4 probably irrelevant this season and a year out of Champions League can be withstood financially. Club World Cup money, which is rarely mentioned, will help support finances in this short term time period.
Priority for the club therefore is gaining money through Champions League and Club World Cup this season. Need best possible finish in both and maintain Premier League position so that points deduction avoids relegation. If verdict avoids potential for other clubs to take legal action against City for lost revenue over past seasons, the club can move on and the future looks positive. The Real Madrid game therefore is key to maintaining financial stability in the short term and Pep will see this as a defining moment for his legacy at the club, with the potential to keep City in the best possible financial position to compete in the future.

The problem is, if we ARE now found guilty after top level club representatives have repeatedly told us we haven't done anything wrong for Years, there are going to be a lot of pretty pissed off fans, I include myself in that to be totally honest, sport is sport, I don't condone cheating in it.

I still believe we've done nothing wrong so I'm not overly worried.

You have took all of that from one word, rather than thinking it might be simply a bad choice of wording which he has done several times since being here. Any possibility is still a possibility, I just find that a very wild assumption off one word.

We can all read into every aspect can't we. Words here and there, contract extensions, stand extensions and signings. None of us have a clue really.

Yeah, I will feel let down for defending our name for years off the back of the words from the club. Now I know they cannot come out and say we are guilty but they have been adamant we aren't. A lot of fans won't care because they will see it as we had to bend the rules to try and comply after constant goalpost shifts which is true. I will still be a blue, just disappointed with the powers that be.

The date? Monday 17th March would be my guess, due to the international break the following weekend.

What would be your definition of "cheating" in this context though? Which particular (alleged) charge would it apply to?

Top top bait, that. 5/5.

Then focus on this key point. If City were in ANY other sphere of business, would our owner being happy to invest his personal wealth into his business be an issue?

Football's an industry just like every other, so in that respect it ultimately has no better or worse onerous laws governing it in the UK than any other.

Just imagine the legal shitshow if City were found to be in breach of football's "rules", & then asked the courts for FFP & PSR type rules to be applied to every business sector across the UK & Europe? Governments & business leaders would tell us to fuck off, which brings me back to my point... How can football be treated differently to every other business sector in respect to FFP & PSR & it not be deemed unlawful if challenged in UK & EU courts?

Those wanting to see us being publicly hung, drawn & quartered can't have it both ways. The FFP & PSR style rules governing football either apply to every other business sector or none. That's the legal long & short of it that you need to focus on.

Regardless of the independent panel's "findings" (not verdict, as we're not in court) over these "accusations" (not charges, as the police or other bodies with legal powers have never been involved with this farce), City have operated within the boundaries of UK & EU law. If we hadn't, Companies House, HMRC & the SFO would have felt our collar years ago.

'Personally' is unnecessary when used in conjunction with 'I'.
