Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good. We’ve been neither this season. Today we got a bit when we needed it. We are so vulnerable though, physically we just can’t seem to compete properly.

No complaints about the line, the ref was dire. It happens at times but that was a special shit performance from the official.

Glad we got over the line thanks to a top class goal.
Orient were snapping into tackles right from the off and crowding us out when we had possession. We on the other hand were too timid and standing off. Their long ball game caused us problems throughout the game. We did deserve to win though, we should have been awarded a penalty and Cooper should have been red carded, but the ref was awful today. Their goal was a foul on Gonzalez, but great opportunism from their lad. All in all, very scrappy, not much quality apart from the finish from King Kev.

Savinho was excellent in the 1st half. Not so much 2nd.

Khusanov did ok when he came on.

Other than stumbling through the tie, there’s not much in the way of positives to take from that dire effort.

The fall off in quality is so disappointing and worrying.

Just proves that hard work beats talent 90% of the time…..lucky for us today was a 10% day!

Job done - none of the fringe players really did enough but I thought Kusanov looked decent. I also felt the short cameo from Nico showed he will be good for us.

The ref was shite and let them get away with some nasty tackles. But I guess it's what the FA cup is about and they get the payday.

Overall though I really want some of our players to start enjoying it a bit more - too many of them look unhappy. I think we've gone into containment mode whereas in previous years we'd go for the throat - example being when Kev released Foden who played it out to Savinho with 3 v's 2 and within 3 seconds we were back on the halfway - way too cautious.

Onto Real and we will be much better, we have to be.

Players seemed to struggle with the Mitre ball at times and the pitch and the officials weren't the best.

Dug deep and ground out a win, and that is all we really needed. In the hat for the next round, and back on the training pitch in preparation for the next match.
