Leyton Orient (A) | FA Cup | Post Match Thread

Orient fans seemed a good bunch today, well on the box anyway
They were great inside and outside the ground. Was in The Northcote pub before and after and they were proper friendly. £5.50 for a decent pint of East End lager too - and served in a proper glass - which compares favourably in price to many Manchester pubs and that £6.15 a pint slop they spew out in Mary Ds in paper cartons. The Hamish MacBeth haggis toastie I had in Deeney's cafe before the match was bang on the money as well.

Not sure about the house prices though - £799,995 for a nondescript 3 bed terrace when walking past one of the estate agents!

Yes but you can use the victoria line tube @ walthamstow and be in the centre of London for your high powered extremely well paid job ..within 35mins ...
Lol

Mentioning 'old school " I had the sound on today and noticed the players took the field to Herb Albert and his tijuana brass.

City used to come out to that in the early days of Jioe Mercer so enjoyed that. Still my favourite entrance music !
There was a thread for that entrance music shit FFS ;-)

In cup games a one goal win means you progress to the next round..that's ultimately the goal..we won ..we progressed..same as we did beating Salford 8-0..
It's not how many you win by in cup games it's winning the game that counts.
I'm pretty sure Dipper fans would have loved a 2-1 win yesterday..but they didn't and they are out..if we win the cup who's really going to remember how scrappy a game it was..
Enjoy the fact that We Won
Not disagreeing on the win. Thats a given. Im commenting on the way it was won. Elementary mistakes. Nothing to do with a disjointed team. Thats just a smoke screen. Had this been a Championship side we would have been dead and buried on that performance.

So you don't see a disjointed team as contributing to a disjointed performance..
On top of that there was a foul in the build up to to goal they scored...we should have had a penalty..they should have had a red card...
I guess we see the game differently..

Bit weird that the FA have chosen an own goal as the best goal of the round.

It's only an own goal if you understand the definition of own goal. I'm not sure the media have such understanding.
It's a surprise they didn't choose the offside rag goal.
