He'd definitely stick to his task of defending better than Rico and a better bet of containing Vinicius, but he must focus fully and play beyond his age and experience to do so. He certainly has the speed so probably our best option I think.

Looks like he’s been here a few seasons, really settled well, and was excellent today. This lad has real potential ans think he will be a mainstay in the team next season. If Khusanov and Reiss are Viana signings then we are in good hands.

I like your positivity but I disagree. Been here two minutes (and two games) and can't speak English. He seems raw and unsure to me and needs time to settle which is understandable but it looks like he has enough hunger desire and quality about him to succeed. I think we'll see a steady improvement and he could become world class if he wants it badly enough.

Had a strong 50 minutes or so yesterday. Very quick, reads the game well and clearly has the stomach for putting in a strong challenge. It’s nice to see a player that clearly loves his defensive duties.
Early signs are good. He’s got a long way to go and lots of development still to come but there is definitely positive signs that this boy is going to be a very good signing.

He has attributes that we have been crying out for. You might say Walker had speed & physical presence,yea, but he was not a great footballer.
I my previous life I was part of Glen Mills coaching team in Jamaica so I have seen some rapid blokes. Khusanov is a physical specimen & if (as I hope) he has a football brain, we are in for a treat.

His debut told me a lot about this guy and his character. Let’s face it, John stones has made many a brain fart.
But I blame the fact he was caught in two minds with Akanji seemingly better placed to come across.
He has dealt with it impeccably. The other players seem to like him too.
I have no doubt this guy will be our best defender for years to come. He will bully forwards but is also not short on skill.
