I haven’t watched a halftime show since 19-whatever, and I’m proud to say that.I do enjoy some hip hop, but I find the live performances wear thin pretty quickly, unless you have songs with a big chorus or something, which Kendrick doesn't really have.
Not the most exciting show is it? Compare it to the Dr Dre and Co. Show a few years ago, which Kendrick was actually part of. That was excellent because the big tunes were there.

Inclined to agree, I actually like some of Kendrick’s music but it’s not really the kind of thing I’d care to listen to live. For much the same reason I don’t go to watch live poetry recitals. It’s not really about performance, it’s about composition/writing. Other artists are far better suited to a stage like this.

Theres been plenty of halftime shows in the past where im not really a fan of the artists involved but they'll generally have a few songs i recognise and I can at least appreciate the spectacle they put on. Genuinely never even heard of a single song in that and it was as dull as it gets.
