Apparently I am the first person in this thread to ask if away goals might feature in this fixture if the scores are level at the end of the second leg. Would somebody care to be the first person to answer? My concern is that we might give away some silly goal(s) in the home leg like we appear to have been doing for most of the season.

Kova and Bernie are certs. To include Nico in midfield, Pep has to bench two from Foden, Marmoush, Savinho and KDB. It's great to have quality options. I hope Doku is fit to feature for 15-20 minutes against tired defenders. Creating chances aside, he can force 1-2 yellows to Madrid players.

Away goals don't matter since 21/22 mate.

A goal scored away counts the same as a goal scored at home (IE they don't count double is it's a draw). Been like that for a while now.

Yeah I replied to him,I knew it was done away with, but with uefa and this new format you just wouldn’t know if they’d include it in these play off matches only ..

As a real fan for more than 20 years i am not confident in an "easy" win like many of you city fans are talking about, and i will explain why

Lets start with our defence, we "converted" an midfield player to a stopper, Tchuameni.
Problem with him is, he has i guess low/low workrate, he also seels to forget when he plays stopper that he can be the last man in the team and to play accordingly. He can be passive at times when you need your defender to step up the game

Vaskez, that guy originaly is a right winger, with tendency to go foward, and converted into a "super sub" and lately into an RB. Problem with him, atleat for me personaly is, he is not good to be in a real madrid lineup, period

We are missing most of out "prime" defence and thats gonna be a problem

Our mid is good, but we have problems in transition and counters becouse vaskes tends to stay too high and cant get back, or gets easly passed by one two pass, then valverde needs to go cover his side that leaves a hole in the mid, beligam is usualy foward so also needs to go back that leaves cebalos that cannot cover everything.

Our attack is good, and if they connect it could be big problems for city

What i expect from this game is, two bad defenses, and lots of goals on both sides.
Yep. Goalfest shootout.

It would be nice if they picked up a few yellows especially the two you've mentioned, Camavinga is a seriously good player he'd be a massive loss to them.

Personally I think we need a 2/3 goal lead going over to Madrid. The defence that they'll field tomorrow is there to be got at, We need to be ruthless on front of goal.

I'm actually quietly confident about the outcome tomorrow, Having Dias, Stones and Ake back makes it a different ball game, Hopefully Gonzalez will be available too.
Not holding my breath that any of them get booked honestly. Didn't happen last year and they'll get that help from the refs since their defense is vulnerable through injuries.

If Ake's fit, he cannot start in this game. Maybe substitute appearance tomorrow to get some match fitness for a start on Saturday. Seems like Gonzalez is training so he should be available.
