Madrid Home tickets

I transferred a ticket earlier. It really is a piece of piss.
So did I but when my mate tried to get in it was transferred to someone else who I had never heard of. Not in my friends or family . When I checked my account it was transferred to Alan Gibson who I don’t know ?

There's definitely a good few flaws with transferring tickets. It is a piece of piss to transfer and add people to F+F, but at the ground it can be flawed in practice. I had someone transfer me a ticket so I could take my Mum, she's not daft having been to a few games on a spare so did everything right but the ticket wouldn't scan on the door. Flashed red.

The (albeit helpful) guy at our entrance checked her ticket and put her through as my number hadn't been scanned in, as when you click the 'i' on the top right of the ticket to look at the info, it came up with my supporter number, rather than the number of the person who's ticket it was (as I now 'owned' the ticket). This meant that when I turned up 5 mins later my ST wouldn't scan. Then had the ballache of finding out what my mate's supporter number was for his spare, as he was in already (so couldn't use his supporter number which came with the transfer email).

I just about got in eventually, but it begs the question why the ticket transfer didn't work as it should? It's not the first time it's caused a faff on a CL night.

That might be because City’s ticketing system is flawed and individual ticket passes can remain live on people’s passes for more than one game. Even when tickets have been bought for only one game from City.

Out of interest - anyone ever bought tickets from the touts outside the main gate (in the proximity of the City store)?

And know how they manage to get people inside the stadium? With all the issues relating to mobile passes, transferring tickets etc. I can't see it working. Not that I have seen anyone so desperate to buy tickets from those touts.

Strange though as you can only transfer Champions L to friends and family and not sell back to the club.

Anyone know how you can transfer an FA Cup concession ticket to an adult in my friends & family? Can you pay the difference when arranging the transfer?

It’s weird mate. Last year a ticket downloaded straight from an email from City was showing up as already used to access the stadium vs Madrid. It was impossible that was the case.

I’ve always suspected that the reason Ticket Exchange isn’t available for cup games is down to City’s ticketing IT. The system has been set up to refund you 1/19 of the cost of your season ticket for a PL game but it’s not sophisticated enough to be any more flexible than that and be adjusted to refund whatever the price of a specific cup ticket might be.

Assuming you’re on the cup scheme, once you’ve selected the person to transfer to, there’s an option to change the age bracket. In fact, it’s not even an option, it won’t let you proceed unless you’ve got the right age bracket on the info they have for the other person.
