Mistake, After Mistake, After mistake! Why Can't We See Games Out?

Rodri's injury has exposed a number of weaknesses, particularly at elite level, where until we rebuild properly, we simply can't compete with Liverpool and Arsenal or the top European clubs.

We've also witnessed Walker and De Bruyne losing their pace and influence respectively and done nothing about it

Gundogan is understandably a shadow of his former, and our recurring injuries are off the scale.

However that's not why we lost tonight
That was just self inflicted stupidity, especially as Madrid were time wasting at 2-2.

Comment of the day.

We can all say “In Pep We Trust,” but the problem is who Pep is trusting!
Pep also has to up his game, he not beyond reasonable criticism & scrutiny.

Our team structure, tactics, substitutions and game management do not pass critical scrutiny.

The same issues, problems and outcomes, rinse, rinse, rinse and repeat !!

Maybe they thought they needed more than a 2-1 lead going into the 2nd leg.

But our squad is fucked. So maybe they need to start doing some of the dark arts like Arsenal and Newcastle when we are winning late on instead of trying to score more goals or trying to keep the ball by passing it around

We’re in need of developing our dark arts skills.

As soon as we scored the pen we should’ve been time wasting and rolling around on the deck clutching our faces from any contact
We already do that stupid shit. Arms in the air, complaining to the heavans, moaning to the ref. We have a victim mentality. We need a manager and players with balls and backbone and fight.

There's a lack of character right through our squad. I'd say the new lads are shocked and mystified as to where our past success came from.

We need someone not tainted by all this gloom to knock heads together and build some real positivity (not pretend nonesense).

That hurt tonight.
United and Feyenoord were bad enough but I thought surely that can't strike 3 times!!. Edit: a lot more than that - Arse, PSG.......
For supposed top players to make such amateur decisions at vital times again and again is beyond belief.

Gundo should never have been brought back, he wanted a 2 year contract, we said no. He goes Barca for a year then comes back. We knew at the time we said no we should not give him a deal as 2 years was out of his reach but for some bizarre reason we did.

Why bring him on today, we just bought a player, a DM who has played at full intensity for his last team. If he not fit after the orient game, why is he on the bench?

Pep although great is also a burk at times

Yeah if Nico was on the bench surely he could've played at least 10 minutes.

Scott Carson gets in the bench, he ain’t playing. Nico was clearly too hurt to play, frustrating as it is.
I'm not so sure Nico would've started anyway, Pep would've thought he wasn't ready and benched him.
