Away fans / tourists in home sections

"Why are there so many locals taking our seats?"

I know you jest but there are people who genuinely get pissed off at French people speaking French in France.

They were there on Tuesday.. half a dozen of them.

Must have been on a break or something when I walked past then.

I usefully walk up that slope behind the squash club and can hear them hollering away, well before I see them. Was no sign of them about 7.30.

Anyway, they were there today, so they clearly haven’t been shifted.

Self and wife went to watch Burnley at Preston today, in the home seats. Kept a low profile but were sussed by those around us. Most of their fans were fine save for one prick who kept shouting " Burnley fans are six fingered c**ts" and we all shag our sisters yawn. Had an excellent day apart from this one idiot pies excellent and fans mingling outside with no mither. Nothing wrong with getting a seat in home end so long as you show respect and don't rise to provocation off dickheads.

“We can’t get a ticket to this European Super League game at those prices, can’t even afford a half n half scarf!

United fans hold up protest banners inside Old Trafford and they aren't removed by the club.

Liverpool fans hold up protest banners inside Anfield and they aren't removed by the club.

We've held up 1 protest banner and the club sent stewards to remove it as soon as they saw it. Accreditation was removed. And the club lied to the media about why the protest banner was removed.

The club doesn't and won't accept any decent from the fans.

It's not a good image for the club, and for Sheikh Mansour.
And yet they welcome and even feed journalists who write utter fucking shit.

Can still see ticket sales going down to the wire in some of those places

They will be watching the game in virtual reality in arenas across the world and City will be taking the revenues because we will own our own broadcast rights.

An interesting read.

Obviously I’m not trying to compare Sheikh Mansour to Levy.

But there are similarities between Spurs fans protesting and the growing discontent and unhappiness amongst City fans about season ticket prices, match day ticket prices, the way the both clubs are treating their fans, etc. Away fans in the home ends isn’t mentioned.

You can see what City are desperate to increase the match day revenues.

Spurs match day revenue is £35mill more than our match day revenue.

The match day revenue gap is clearly an issue.

It would interesting to see what’s included as match day revenue for each club and if we’re comparing apples with apples.

The new NS tier won’t simply fix the gap. Will the hotel revenue be included in match day revenue figures?

If we increased the use of Coop Live for pre and post match activities would that also boost the figures?

Would fans simply go mental if the club were more transparent with their increased ticket sales prices via agencies and sold the tickets direct at increased prices? How about if these seats were only in specific areas of the stadium?

It’s snideiness that pisses me off with the ticket situation. I want the club to be transparent with what it’s doing.

There are probably many OAPs and juniors season ticket holders which doesn’t exactly boost match day income.

Some decent & fair questions, a lot of the resentment at Spurs is because their fans are being undersold on the pitch and overpriced off it, In essence they know what the club makes, and that is a problem for Levy & co, maybe we are playing a bit of sleight of hand, especially given we have partners in the co op, who are about to sign a big deal with the NBA (amongst many others) there’s a fine balance and ours is starting to lurch too far the other way off the pitch, on it I’m sure Pep will get us back to the very top, which probably means things continue as they are

Are you suggesting they should instead lure them into the UAE embassy and dismember them
No ...too final.

Take them apart one by one SLOWLY in public.

Ruin their careers, skint them.

In 30 years time let them remember the name Manchester City and how we've ruined their pitiful lives !!

You haven’t met my 4 year old grandson, he costs me a fortune! I hear what you’re saying though, but the young uns are a futures market, whereas the oldies aren’t, who would be a soft less vocal target for clubs, but a gamble that I believe could backfire massively, especially at City.
We normally spend a fair whack at games, and on merch, I’m always sure to click my ST, not just for the discount, but to also say ‘look City I’m spending don’t come after us’ which is a bit pathetic on my part, and also quite sad, we are all just customers these days

An oap relative of mine with a L2 season ticket couldn’t go yesterday, so got his £25 back from the club who then sold his seat presumably to a citizen Matchday member. I don’t know what they charged, but a mate took his lad and they were sat in upper area of L3 and he paid £68 as a matchday citizen. So I’m guessing the L2 seat sold for at least £75. So that’s an extra £50 gained for one seat.
