Problem with Neville and others is they still think it's 2002 and their argument is detached from reality. It's been nearly fifteen years since the takeover and the club has grown exponentially over time and it has a significant number of fans abroad.

I suspect many wish that the clubs recent success had absolutely no effect because they yearn for tradition or established clubs but it's just not the case. You win things and your fan base grows.

It's like saying Nottingham Forrest and Aston Villa are huge but they're not. Historically significant but they've been away for too long.
Nearly 17 years since the takeover

Tottenham are a big club, same as Villa, Everton, Newcastle, City. I’d say all of these clubs were in the next tier of clubs after United, Liverpool and Arsenal. We’ve been fortunate with our takeover and success in the last 15 years and we’ve moved up a level, but I see no shame in being grouped with the clubs mentioned. There are plenty of “big” clubs in English football, and does it even matter at the end of the day anyway?

Forget that pish, is Neville a wanker?

Gary Chuckle is a bitter Yonner. We keep him awake at night. Happy days.
He will choke on black pudding off Bury market. Deserted his home town and father's club for the vacant entity that is Salford City. Bury went out of business due to that vanity project. Scholes called him out recently when Neville said the rival was Liverpool. Scholes said it was always City no matter how bad we were. Says it al really. I am finally ditching being legal for a fire stick.

Spurs are a big club in the media only, and I'm pretty sure it's because both Spurs and the media are located in London

Ever since I can remember, football on TV has been dominated by pundits from the usual 'big' (successful) clubs: united, Liverpool, Arsenal and... Spurs? They've won 2 League Cups in 35 years! If things were actually based on recent success, we'd be seeing lots of ex-Everton faces instead

Honestly, it's why I've never been able to stand them

Neville was trying to make the point that at the time of our takeover in 2008, Spurs were a bigger club than City but since then we've massively overtaken them. I just looked at the table for 2007-08 and we finished 9th in the league and Spurs finished 11th (55pts > 46 pts) so no, it's another falsehood perpetrated to try and convince Sky's audience we were some "small" club before ADUG.
And had done the double over his rag team

Neville and spurs are both cunts.

The end.

just one more thing:

What is this whole big club before and after a new owner rocks up?

City have always been a massive club.

Does that mean that the rags are now a small club with petrol Jim in charge of sackings?

Hate that I have to listen to this ****. If I could I would set rat traps all over the sky studios.

Why oh why has the rat featured mard arsed rag fucker dragged us into his temper tantrum?
We were always on a par with spuds, we’re too far in front of them now though, deflection tactics at its finest.
His opinions are of no relevance to anything really.
He’s clearly taking some kind of political training though.
This twat is going to end up mayor of Greater Manchester.
Odds on he's on the path to being Mayor of Manchester, a depressing thought.
Probably happen the same day Beckham gets a knighthood for services to arse kissing.
