Looks like Bernie's playing then.
I'm happy about that, he likes playing against them.

Ederson

Khusanov
Stones
Dias
Gvardiol

Gonzalez
Bernardo

Savinho
KDB
Marmoush

Haaland

3-1 to us.

COME ON CITY!!!!
Best lineup to take on Madrid, but I just don't think de Bruyne can start against them. Hardly looked like he could play a single half a week ago and it's not like he can improve his conditioning that much with just a week's rest at his age.

I know, but Phil is still finding his fitness and best form and i want him against the dippers. He'd be on the bench, but if the game is slower and it being away, i'm hoping that might suit Kev.
We'll see, but i'm looking forward to it!

can see Pep doing same line up as the home game except Marmoush in for KDB who was really bad.
also Nico in for Stones, and Stones may move to RB to replace the injured Akanji.

what deffo cannot happen Foden and KDB both starting.

Phil definitely better as a starter - never think he finds it as easy to pick up the pace off the bench, as some others do.
Also - he usually finds big moments against RM and is always willing to try something that other players aren't

Think Foden needs a good performance, although his run won the penalty in the first leg.
Not sure if Kev is fit enough, so only bring him on if desperately needed...

I see Rudiger’s back. Ffs.

Strictly speaking, of course, we only have to score once. Not being pedantic, but the mindset of 'must score twice' is counter-productive.
If we score once, we're level. Simple as that. Then it all starts again...

Yep, but us scoring once, whilst praying that they don't, only leaves with a penalties situation after extra time ... and Ederson never gets anywhere near saving any of them!

If we could score twice imagine the pressure that would put on Real Madrid ... their fans would go berserk, their players would get frustrated, start misplacing passes and shooting high and wide etc. .. they would start leaving gaps at the back, and arguing amongst themselves.

I wish I was anyway confident about tomorrow but even at our best we have had some poor results in the Bernabeu. Now we are behind, not at our best away to a Real side with a stronger side than the one that best us last week.

I’d be delighted with a proper performance, keeping the ball properly, pressing well and without looking leggy and shapeless in midfield.
