Right lads. Smash these cunts 3-1 tonight and same score at the weekend vs the Dippers please. In return we promise to win at the City Ground next week. Deal?

No kamikaze backpasses and matches are 90 minutes not 85.

With Marmoush a threat it isn't just about stopping Haaland now so Rudiger can stick that in his pipe.

Let's face it, on current form they're better than us and Bellingham is head and shoulders the world's best central midfield player. They are littered with world class players from goalkeeper to their forwards - and in Vinicius Junior they have a player who was cruelly overlooked for last year's Balon D'oR......and on present form is a shoe in for this year's honour.

Take 1-1 right now and move onto the Dippers game...
agreed, more importantly always come across as a really nice bunch of lads

Voted for us to win but still go out. Not sure of the maths for that to happen, but it seems the most utterly city thing to do :-(

Problem with these bastards is it’s sort of irrelevant how well they play. I wouldn’t be surprised if we were easily the better team tonight but the chances of them scoring some fluke in injury time are just absurdly high given that’s how they progress in most UCL ties.

How many tickets did we sell for this game in the end? Allocation was 3,913

I'm quite the realist when it comes to football, and defensively, despite the result at the weekend, we're in a bad place. But all it takes is reading any one of the 172 fawning madrid articles on any website for me to be fucking up for this. The british media obsession with these cunts is bizarre and perverse. Come on City!!
Yes it’s funny how our 6 out of 7 titles is ruining football, but doesn’t apply to Real Madrid.

Edit: or indeed Chelsea’s women’s team.

No expectations, no hope.

Just going to sit back and hope we give a good account of ourselves.

Unless we're 4 goals up I'm not even bothering to get my hopes up.
I'd be happy with giving a good account also. Confidence should be up after Newcastle but probably not robust enough to cope with an absolute bumming in Spain.

I just hope he chooses at least these 9 to start:

Ederson, Gvardiol, Dias, Stones, Khusanov, Nico, Savinho, Marmoush and Haaland.

The other two positions should be the only variables. You could easily pick Phil and Gundo again due to Newcastle. But I can also see the arguments to play Bernardo and KDB instead, or even Kova as an 8.

I think he'll side with KDB and Bernardo due to experience and faith. Or he'll just drop Savinho and Marmoush to keep Phil and Gundo in the starting XI...

Very much this. Totally relaxed about tonight and not really expecting much. Give a good account of ourselves and hopefully see our new players tested on the biggest stage.

If we're still in the game at half time you never know, but not conceding the first goal i think will be key.

Imagine how we'll feel when the team sheet drops with Lewis at RB and a midfield 3 of Gundo, Kova and KDB.

Beating Newcastle 4-0 so convincingly has given myself and many blues hope that if we can carry on where we left off we may come away with a win. And if we beat Madrid it will be a huge confidence boost against Liverpool.

I think it's important to score first and keep our shape because we'll be under intense pressure defensively. I'm quite confident we will win but if we give them a proper game and go down fighting but lose narrowly I will accept it because we are in transition this season.

Really looking forward to the game and should be a cracking match especially for neutrals watching, I just hope we get fair officiating and give it our best shot.

Come on City!
